PC Grow CFL setups (1 Plant)

Hey Guys, First post here!

I'm setting up my first PC Grow (First grow of any kind) and was wondering if I could get some feedback on my CFL setup.

PC specs are about: 20x42.5x42.5

I have capacity for 3 bulbs. I've decided on 2 x 18W 2700k CFLs (One on either side of the plant) and 1 x 18W 6500k CFL directly above the plant. Not sure if these will be powerful enough to see results. Side note: Do I leave all of these lights on for both the growth and veg stages? And what kind of light patterns am I looking at with this wattage?

My fan setup is a small inlet fan down the bottom of the case, and a more powerful one near the top, which pushes the air directly through a 'paint mask' that is filtered with activated carbon (Kind of like a pre-made cheap carbon filter).

All inside panels will be covered in the mylar emergency blanket material, stuck down with silver duct tape.

Plant will just go inside a wide and long but not too tall (Lunchbox like) container to maximise available growth height. With a small rack above to help the plant grow horizontally as well.

Cheers Guys

Hey man, good job on deciding to do a PC grow.

About the lights: I am by no means a expert on lighting, but I have to propose a few adjustments. For the vegetative phase of the grow, you will want to be using lights that have a cold spectrum (eg. 6500k) and for the flowering phase, ones that have eg. 2700k. Now you can by all means mix up the spectrums if you like/. Some people for the veg like their lights to be just 6500k, while others like to mix it up. eg three bulbs 6500k and one 2700k. Apparently cannabis likes a little mix up. BUT unless you a;ready have a plan, you could already force the plant into flowering with more warmer bulbs. That is a method that is completely alien to me, but a lot of people do it with great results, you'll have to read that up.

Your PC box is a bit bigger than mine, so you could easily fit in four bulbs, not three. And try to get your hands on a bit more powerful ones, 18W is not bad, although you could buy eg. four 25W bulbs that give off 1520 lumens each.

Light patterns? Do you mean light schedule as in how long on/off? Depends if your MJ is an autoflower or regular strain.

As for the fans, good job. It is better to have a more powerful fan pulling air out and a smaller one sucking air in. That way to create nice negative pressure inside the case.

The "pot" is good as well, you'll maximise used space.

Good luck with the building, you should check out my signature, I have step by step pic I made when I was creating my box, if you need any help, don't hesitate to ask. Check out Harrys grow as well, he did an amazing job.

Peace.
