PC Grow Cases?have you purchased one?

Hello all, ive been sifting through a bunch of sites looking at PC grow cases and i have a few questions for anyone who has bought a pre made pc grow case and had it shipped to them.

First off, wouldn't it be kinda sketchy having a grow case sent to you through the mail? Assuming you live in a state in the US where it is indeed illegal, wouldn't your bank or post office or someone know what it was you were buying? Maybe Ive just got a case of stoner paranoia..:-|?

Secondly, what website is trustworthy and actually sends you a quality grow case? Anyone who has bought one themselves, please share thoughts and opinions!

thanks fer readin:blsmoke:

Just build one prolly cheaper, and you won't worry about getting it or anyone knowing you got it.... I just built one I had a old gaming comp case sitting around took me like 15 mins to build, note I'm only using mine for starting out seedlings before I move to the grow room

I bought one from pcgrowcase/box.com. and it was delivered a couple of weeks a ago. It comes in the pc case box so it looks like you just bought a new pc tower so no worries there.

The quality of the case is good but the assembly of wiring to the fans is really cheesy. It leaks a lot of light so if you think you can grow without your parents knowing or anyone good luck. The installation on the inside is just thrown together with some mylar and a glue gun.
Just about everything they used to build the box including the hydro parts are all purchased from Walmart.

I have played with what was sent to me for the last couple of weeks trying to figure out how I could get anything to grow in it without burning the plants from heat as the fans on full with 4 bulbs runs in the 90+ degree range with the side cover on which is way to hot.

This is what I did. I replaced the top rear 80mm fan with a micro blower fan 5000rpm'r. I have it sucking in air at the top to cool the bulbs which now can be touched without burning the fingers. I took the small 80mm fan and installed it on the lower front of the case to suck air in with a 120mm fan mounted in the middle rear to suck air out. I now have the temp in the high 70's to lower 80's with the side cover on depending on 2-4 bulbs running. I rewired everything and had to buy from 12v adapter from 12vadaptor.com to run the blower fan as the one that came with it was not enough amps to run the blower fan.

After killing 3 quailty seeds I now have a hydro gro in the works with 2 happy babies. I also had to modify the hydro system that came with it to the perculator method. I bought 2 more double pumps and have all the timers pumps etc outside the box to leave as much grow room as possible.

I gave up on keeping it steath as it now runs pretty loud with the micro blower fan and with the light leaks I just stuck it in my walk-in closet and I'm treating it like a mini grow room.

If I had to do this again I would build it myself but buying the box gave me the fundalmentals to better what was sent to me.

pcgrowcase.com they are legit but they just don't get everything dialed in for you so you have to use your own head to modify.

Mine was running too cold because i live in alaska and only have a wood stove for heat, so i had to slow the fans down a bit and add a larger bulb for heat. pcgrowcase.com is legit but like u say, you have to dial it in to work with your situation.
