Man. I have a few questions for you. Your doing a DWC in your PC right? How big is the Rez? And did you light proof that? I have tried DWC in a PC before and have not been very successful. How do you plan on keeping about a quart and a half of water around 70 degrees for a few days? Are you going to be topping and LSTing or you just gnna let it do what ever? Of course you PH is going to flux duh. Good luck with it. STAY HiGh!!

The intake and 2 circulating fans blows right on the res,the temp in my case sits at about 78 degrees and the water is even cooler. Im using a 2 gallon personally made and sized res. all the specs are listed at the top of the post. The problem of water heating up hasnt even occurred. And yes im topping and lsting, i will do the first top tomorrow, and i did the first LST bend today.

As for the other stuff about building and lightproofing shoot me a pm and ill gladly tell you more.

Hi OG. I have one of those turnkey systems. My 1st indoor hydro grow. How do you control the growth of the plant in such a small space? The case isn't much taller than 24 inches, right? Could you take a photo with your plant inside it's grow box zoomed out enough so that the perspective can be seen? Thanx

Yeh I can take a pic of the case no problem. And the main things i use to control height are LSTing, topping/supercorpping, and keeping the plant as close to the lights as possible to minimize stretching. You can also SCROG it, but iv never done that. I might try it with this trainwreck as it is growing very well :]

DAY 14!!! EXPLOSION!!! 1 more week of veg left.
I lsted it at 12 this afternoon, and took this pic at 3:30. It completely grew straight up out of the lst like usual. Im going to tie it down more so i cant do grow up later, but right now it is good training for the main stem being tied down, then growing up, then repeating the process.

Today like every Sunday i changed the res. But today was the first day i did FULL strength nutes. The plant had been at 1/4 for the first 10 days, then 1/2 for the last 3 days. I cant wait to see how it reacts to full strength nutes.

The CD's are working just like ithought they would im starting to get new nod growth all over the main stem even down to the very base!

I got a little picture happy but oh well... ENJOY!

Nice setup there dude, More pics of the case would be great tho. I was going to keep all the plugs intact, but didnt. you did a real nice job on that tower. I would like to see more pics of the DWC setup also. I havent put my case into production, its just sitting here on the floor right now, im trying to decide what I want to grow in. I have a few in soil that i could pt right in, but im in no rush. So any info you can share would be great. thanx

Trainwreck from feminized seed 18/6. It was transplanted from its first 4 days in soil to this new Hydro setup, You can see as the plant comes out of shock, from day 1-11 in these pics!

- 2 120mm Coolermaster CPU fans w/ Carbon filtering
- 2 6in mini circulating fans
- 4 85w 5000k mini spiral cfls
- 2 gallon/2 plant DWC setup
- 1 12in Airstone w/ 10 gallon air pump
- Technaflora Nutrients
- PC case is fully light-proofed, smell-proofed, and every plug/switch/ or any visual aspect of the computer from the outside was kept the exact same for MAXIMUM STEALTH!!!
-Both the side and front door on the PC case are lockable, and STAY LOCKED!

More pics coming soon!
I fucking love this...subbed for sure.

As promised here is day 15 part 2!!! the plant like always grew right up against the lst, and the side growth is EXPLODING!!! I made a SCROG trellis today, and i will have pics of it up tomorrow! The trellis mounts on Velcro strips on the side of my case so i can fully control the height of it. Iv never SCROGED in a pc case before, so i cant wait to see how this is going to turn out!!! Stay posted!

Day 15 part 2!!!

Hey, thanks for the response to my noob hydro post - Although I like the set up a lot, I am looking for a more large scale hydro setup. I am trying to do a 4-6 plant hydro system made out of 2x rubbermaid containers 1 a lil smaller than the other. Put the bad boy in the grow room with my soil babies and see the diff between the two!

All is looking awesome here though man, hydroponics always confused me - I know a lot about soil growing, a lot, but nothing about hydro. Although I have read the pros and cons of soil/hydro grows and it seems to me that hydro is where its at - you just have to know what you're doing.

On top of that, I had a couple people pm me telling me that if I do a hydro grow I should have a tiny backup battery that will keep my water pump running on schedule for a couple hours if the power goes out. Makes sense because if the plant doesnt get water on time it will probably start dying - the roots will dry up and yeah then the plants gone lol...

No problem tiny, your very welcome. As to hydro growing, yes you have to know exactly what your doing, there really is alot more too it, but it is WELL WORTH THE REWARDS!!

As to the water pump back up battery. Yes that is crucial. my uddy had a 2 plant hydro setup, and a snow storm hit, and he lost power for 2 days. All his plants died. After seeing that i have always made sure that i have some form of backup power to my grow.

I have a car battery in my closet, with the wires running to the PC case under the carpet. Its on a electric couple switch. Basically if the EC senses a change or absence in electrical current it will then draw electricity from the car battery.

if you will give me the deminsions of your growing space, and the tubs, I can draw you up a diagram and a materials list for your 4-6 plant 2 res. DWC setup. then you should have no problem getting it set up. Let me know in a pm if you would like.

Check out the SIDE GROWTH!!! this plants lst is going very well, and the reflection off the cds is actually working well :]

Does anyone know why my new growth and my new new growth are twisting??? Its not from heat dmg, the temp is fine and they are fully healthy, they just twisted themselves and i dont know why or if its good or bad?!?!

nice, how many watts all in all you got in there for the lights?
Each of those cfls are 85 cw mini CFLS, i have 4 of them. Each outputs 950 lumens, and they are 5000k. these particular cfls are actually intended for growing, My flowering lights are the same except the are 2700k and they have a built in air filter in the cfls base.
