Pc Carbon Filter Fan idea!

Hey RIU,

Whilst searching around on some pc component websites, i have come across a fan mount from case labs which could serve ideal for making a carbon filter, which could be mounted onto a 120mm fan!

the space created between the mesh and the panel which attaches to the fan could be filled with activated carbon, and secured using some tights an tape, as im sure many of you are aware, or you could fill the void with the carbon mesh used for fish tanks.
Hope this can help!

Any ideas, or improvements lets here them!

Unless it's going to be an almost non-existent amount of carbon, then you would need to buy an absurdly powerful pc fan, which last i recall, come in at almost 60dba. Regular pc fans just do not have the power, even a foam dust filter seriously impedes the fans ability to move air.
