Paul Lewin : The Liberal Party Will Ruin Legalization

The fact that you think things will go differently than I do does not make my view any less valid.
Not really. Take for example, the following two positions:

-Legalization will run into trouble because the Liberals un-necessarily restricted the assisted dying legislation using language that was not specified in the Carter decision

-Legalization will run into trouble because space aliens visited me in my dreams and told me so

Are both of these equally valid?

You bet. If you base your vision of the future on a completely separate piece of legislation and space aliens, who am I to doubt you? I may not agree, but you are entitled to your opinion.

Someone being entitled to their opinion, and that opinion being valid are two very different things :

Valid - well-grounded or justifiable : being at once relevant and meaningful <a valid theory> b : logically correct <a valid argument> <valid inference>

I stand corrected. My comment is valid and yours is not.

Me thinks you doth comment on my opinion too much. I don't recall saying I am the one making the rules, and I know you aren't on the task force, so waiting on the actual outcome to know what they are actually going to do kinda makes sense. This forum is here to discuss and debate our thoughts and predictions. The fact that you think things will go differently than I do does not make my view any less valid. If others are free to share their views of how legalization will take away their weed, or how the Liberals are gonna treat cannabis like restricted weapons, I am free to point out the idiocy. I wasn't aware this was a contest, and I'm not out for any congrats...I'm just trying to inject some realism and sanity into the debate. You can agree with me, or not, I don't care
>you are injecting your" opinion"..only..on something that has not happened..just like the other people here

and you know biil n annes opinion

And your point is? Is there a problem with me 'injecting my opinion'? or is that reserved for the geniuses that proclaim Trudeau is going to take all of their weed and treat it like restricted weapons? I am stating my opinion and predictions. I tend to use logic and common sense to form my opinions, which is something that seems foreign to some on here.
Like I said yesterday, Me thinks you comment on my posts too often without adding anything to the conversation.

no problem at all ..

except you seem to discount everyone else who does not think things will be so rosy and need to be reminded of it..

using words like "bizzare claims" ...we do not feel theyare bizzare..more like staus quo fro the last 50+years

i have nothing real to add to the convesation.. just like you

its all talk..we will see when it is unveiled

I have plenty to add to the discussion, you just don't want to read it. If you think the claim that "weed will be treated like restricted weapons" is anything less than bizarre, nothing I say is going to fix that. Sure it's all just talk, only some is based on logic and others are based on far-fetched what-if's. If you are against logical thinking, please put me on ignore.

i read it..didn't you make up the restricted weapons saying?

"logical" ......well so much that has gone down in cannabis land..like most all of it is not "logical"

infact when about cannabis none of it is logical..prohibition is not logical..

good grief..haven't you been in the MMAR long enough to see that?

Really? Do you argue for the sake of arguing? He has some very valid and likely positions. Yes some of it is speculation but I haven't seen any lawyers like the big names come out with anything even close to "getting it". The Liberals have already fucked this up, it's clear they're all about control, a closed market for some big boys with big bucks and legal battles just waiting for the legislation to drop. It's looking much like AUMA in California, a tax grab and control, not freedom, open market or legalization.
The issue I see causing arguments is where it says " the liberals have fucked us" ,you can expect massive negative feedback here at riu anytime anything negative is posted about any liberal party issue, truth is irrelevant in most cases.
