ok so im looking to design a light fixture for cfl's to run about 150-200 watts my question is i have read that wiring parallel is the best way when it comes to lighting fixtures vs. series wiring not only due to the fact that with series if 1 bulb goes they all go and thats not the case with parallel also the lights wont shine as bright with series i been doing my research and found that to be true for the most part can anyone enlighten me on parallel wiring or know anything about it?

Series vs. Parallel wiring is most often a consideration for audio systems. You don't see alot of series wiring in household circuits because it's usually more dangerous. Parallel wiring is just what people think of as normal wiring- you connect the positive to the building's (the circuit breaker's) positive and the negative to the building's negative. In series, one of those two wires would be connected to another electronic device before connecting to the building's circuits.

Always switch off the main breaker, test circuits you're working on for voltage, wear the proper safety equipment and follow all safety precations when working on electrical circuits.

Well basically my question is if I am going to build a lighting fixture its going to contain 6 sockets for Cfl bulbs which I will parallel wire then attach wires to a medium-heavy. Duty extension which will plug into a grounded power surge I'm not going to put a switch on it do i need anything else other than just to wire it up properly is that a ok way to do it ? From what I have read about that's the way its recommended to do it any input before I attempt it would b appreciated basically my idea is 3 bulbs on each side facing eachother then wire each side parallel which will run into a wire you can just plug in if that makes sense
