i figured what the hell i had the seeds 1000 Persian white and 1000 giganteum

never tried to grow these before so this should be fun

dude that is too funny that u posted this today, I was just talkin to a friend of mine about growin some of the same things. so how big is the area u need to grow that many of em? And u just growin em cause their pretty or for recreational purposes? Lol our reason is for rec. purposes!!!
 
no clue i just threw together a garden bed and threw em in there ill most likely harvest the opium from most of em and leave a few for seeds
 
i plant mine as soon as the ground thaws. watch out for mites. they love papaver.

When I was reading up on em I think it said that after u have scored the outside and collected the opium latex or w/e it is u can cut the pods off and dry them out then crush em open to get the seeds out so u can use em for ur next grow, but when u use seeds from pods you scored it lowers the chance it will grow into a flower when u plant it. That was just from one source so I'd have to check around more before I was for sure on that one.
 
Damn Scrog I think the better question to ask u is what don't u grow or haven't u grown Lol.

Oh I wanted to ask too each seed only maked one flower right or is it more than one flower per seed?

that is correct, but its a blessing...........less thinning. one pod can supply you with enough seed to plant the following year. and after you get the seeds, save the pods and straw for tea.
 
i have a 5' x 6' plot. i have about 30 poppies in there. papaver likes some breathing room. each plant have produce numerous pods, although smaller than main pod. we have one or two smoking sessions, and lots of tea.
 
Damn it im jealous I don't have the room or the lights to grow both MJ and poppies yet, and idk if my neighbors in the apt building I live in would be kool with me digging up the area in the back and planting poppies even if its just weeds there now.
 
i grow my poppies outdoors. my indoor grow area is a dust-filled, mite-infested basement.......lol. i dream of a decent grow area.
 
the Hmong people mostly boil it down to a concentrate, in water. some tribes smoke it raw. it tastes like rubber, which it is.
 
some cook it with lime, and then skim the froth. that's a purer dope, and starting to slip down a slippery slope for an ex-junkie;)
 
i was in a room wit people smoking opium and it had this wonderful smell idk it was raw or refined i think it was refined
 
But then the latex that comes out is it considered opium or it that what it becomes when u boil it? Didn't it become most popular when people first tried mixing it with tobacco to smoke it, but was that its raw form?
 
doesn't taste so wonderful....lol. in tea or in a bowl. i'm gonna vaporize it like an oil this year. maybe stretch out my highs a bit.
 
Yeah I can imagine how bad it tastes never tried raw, but have tried opium and the one that is a step beyond opium and morphine.
 
dvs the latex is raw opium they boil it in water to refine it which i guess is to dull the harshness of the smoke?
 
"raw" opium has often been boiled, and limed. i get plenty wasted from my just-boiled dope. if i had an acre........i'd be in trouble. i'd turn it all into China white.............#4 as they call it. and shoot it up:)
