Package intercepted going from CA to NV

So if a package of less then a 1/2 o was intercepted going from California to Nevada what would be the punishment?

Im trying to do some research on this topic and i havent found any concrete info.

It did make it to NV, does that mean just the NV punishment will apply?

Because it went over state lines is there a harder Federal punishment that could be pushed for?

Are the NV cops able to talk to the CA fedex people to see who sent it? how would they be prosecuted?

Please let me know, and include links to factual sites if possible!!

Thanks!! and stay smart/safe!

I'm pretty sure once you attempt to send it across state lines, it becomes a federal matter.

Yeah thats what i thought... but they only info i could about the federal penalties are for KG... this was like .01kg.

Im guessing they arent going to push hard on the matter for such a small amount because both states are misdemeanors for such a small amount... but i do want to educate myself

any time the mail is involved it fall's under federal law because the mail is run by the fed's not the state

i sent a zone to arkansas and it was intercepted as long as you didnt put your address as the return and whoever the package was sent to denies knowing anything you will be cool

Fedex does work with authorities to track down and prosecute shippers of illegal drugs if they can find them, they'll also prosecute the receiver of the drugs if they can. You'd have to take it in to a fedex ship center not have it picked up. Pay cash, fake return address, untraceable except for the receiver. If they bust the person who receives it they will try to turn him against you to lessen his sentence.

You're still talking federal charges for shipping across state lines even with a private shipping company.
Definately a serious felony even if it is small amounts. Don't get caught. Don't send to someone who will turn on you if they are caught.

Fedex is not run by the government, they are a private company.

But, but shipping or trafficking across state lines is a federal offense. Falls under federal jurisdiction.

How do you know it made it to nevada - did you track it through the website? If so, that just opens up more questions like where did you track your package...maybe they can trace the ip of the computer you tracked it with? LoL...sorry, im just thinking..dont wanna make you paranoid. Has it been awhile since you sent it? Can you totally trust the receiver? Maybe they just said they didnt get it and they did.

I got busted sending weed through the mail. PM me OP if you want to talk, Id rather not get into it.

hit me wit a 6 mont bit boy!

but you probably will be luckier

also it isnt a federal crime unless its a huge amount, they wont put 1/2oz of weed into federal court.

i know this from experience.
