Pablo's Socal Balcony Grow

Did this last season, time for round 2.

2 feminized Easyryder seeds. Germ'd in wet paper towel. Placed in FFOF as soon as they cracked. One sprouted 2 days ago, waiting on the other one to pop up. They get the sun all day on the balcony.

Last summer I grew in a 3 gallon pot. In my opinion, this is bigger than necessary. I was finding that it took over a week between waterings. When I pulled the plant, the roots never came close to making a dent in all that soil. Seemed like a waste of soil. If the smaller pots don't appear to be adequate, I can always transplant to the 3 gallon pots.

The last pic is from last season's harvest. You can see how small the plant is compared to the pot.

I have Fox Farms Grow Big and Big Bloom. I'd have to go back and check my previous journal, but nutes were barely used. I'm thinking about picking up some Tiger Bloom and trying that out. For now, I don't plan on introducing any nutes during the first month.

My plan is to do a couple of separate grows this summer, just using autoflowers.

This thread is open for comments, etc. Cheers. :bigjoint:

Thanks for stopping by TwoJoints. I'm not exactly sure how much I got off my last grow - no scale. 1/2 an ounce? I started the plant late in the season which may have stunted it a bit. The smoke was nice. Not the best tasting stuff, but the high is nice. I'm never very good at evaluating the flavor/high of this stuff. I'll go to wine tastings now and again, and you're supposed to rank all these various aspects. To me, it tastes like wine. Some tastes better in my mouth, others not so much. My palate doesn't always detect the subtle nuances of flavors. At least not that I can articulate. Maybe I just need more practice. :eyesmoke:

My other seed sprouted yesterday, so I'll a pick of that up later.

Props on your current grow, I just checked it out. Not sure I've seen anyone LST an auto before, but you did it successfully.

My only bit of UK speak: "There's a moose loose in the hoose".

Cheers.

Wow, didn't know I said anything remotely racist. That's not my style at all. My mom was born and raised in Edinburgh and I heard her say that cheeky phrase. I believe (without the accent) it stands for: "There's a mouse loose in the house". How is that mildly racist? No worries, either way. (BTW you mentioned where you from in your thread awhile back - that's how I knew)

In any event, thanks for the continued support. Here's a few pics from today. Again, not much to see. Just like all the other little seedlings on here.

Djlifeline, I don't recall exactly how tall my other easyryder got - maybe around 12 inches? Weird that I didn't make a note of that. I'll do so this time around. I'm pretty sure I've browsed your journal as well. I'll go back and check it out.

Beautiful SoCal weather today. Gonna get out and enjoy it. Time to give the truck a bath. Cheers!

Nah man, i forget the americans dont get dry wit... I werent meanin to imply that your a racist, I was purely saying it as its good that we can have a bit of banter...

No worries dude! The sun is shining the past few days, but its still been really cold, myplants leaves are starting to frost over... looking and smelling awesome, just starting to pack on some weight.

Good stuff dude!

Gotcha, Twojoints - it's all good. I visited my relatives in Edinburgh in 1986 (I was 17 at the time). Went to a comedy show while there and either couldn't understand the thick accent or the jokes went right over my head. Nice, sunny and mid-70's today :) Gonna plant some flowers today.

Thanks for stopping by Big. It would be nice if they get a little bigger than last year's crop. But, I like the small size and am going to place an order soon for a couple of different strains. Cheers.

Last season, a poster named "ugrowgirl" had a theory that moths don't like marigolds, so I planted some close to my plants. I just noticed that they're "French" marigolds - hopefully they don't give up at the first sign of moths ;)

Plants still look like - - - miniature pot plants. Go figure.

Thanks bro, these are cool little plants. You shouldn't have any problem finding some stealthy locations for them. Best of luck to you!

subscribed. I just harvested 2easy riders from a pc grow and got 20g from one and 30g from the other, grew it in ff soil aswell and used tigerbloom and molasses and a 1gallon pot. You should be able to yield a ton of these girls, prolly 35+ each.

I'll have to go and check out the ounce to gram conversion later, but it sounds good! Thanks for the comments. Cheers.
