are these supplies im using going to work??? im really stuck on what to use to suspend my plants ontop the water. ineed a visual >_<. some people say styrafoam but im stuck imagining that.

I plan to use these style of cups. could they be used for the whole grow since root space is technically dealt with? and would any solid pile of small objects be good medium? ie; marbles, any small rocks, dirt?

those last pics are of my current temporary setup. all those plants are 1.5 months LOL even the baby, would u believe? this is the main reason why im going hydro, i have a much better chance to do things properly with it. as i dont have space for pots but if they are all in one container in small cups then it should make things more Ez.

a million thanks to those who can answer all my annoying questions. sorry bout them
If you could get another bin to sit ontop of that and create a mesh like grate out of the bottom then put some medium over it such as rockwool or like you said any of that shit(just make sure you boil it first so its clean), except the dirt dont use that. Than you just need a pump, airstone, and minor tubing your good. And you could probably get all that shit at like a fish store. Honestly if you are really concerned about space you can buy a aerogarden deluxe for like 200 veg your plants completely than flower under an hps. or you can if you chose to leave it under the cfl the whole time.:leaf:

If they are still small yeh.If you are gonna keep em like SOG style you could probably fit 9. I see you have a like a bubble strip in their to oxygenate the water. Than just get yourself a sturdy flat lid. Like a big enough peice of cardboard or plywood. Flip those cups you have upside down trace a the top on the wood giving yourself enough room in between each cup. flip em back over put ur medium in and your set. If you are gonna keep em like SOG style you could probably fit 9.
