Overgrown plants in flowering - help

Okay, so I'm around the end of week 3 flowering. The plants veg'd a little too long and got kinda overgrown. I did some pretty regular defoliation once per week for the last 3 weeks and the air seems to be moving pretty good through the plants.

The only thing I'm worried about is these little branches growing vertically right next to another bud (see images)...

It looks like the "suckers" off a tomato plant but they're growing buds super close to the main buds.

Would you:
1. Cut them off
2. Tie them down with plant wire (LST)
3. Leave it as is and hope they get long enough to tuck under the netting to get space that way.

For reference I'm using a QB LED array, 270W from the wall. Living soil in 3.6 gal airpots in a 3x3 tent.

Struggling with high humidity right now, about 56 RH during the day cycle and 70 during the night
