OverFed Or Underfed

Hello,

This is my 1st grow I am using Pro Mix BX soilless with dyna gro nutes and using there feeding amounts online. I am using ppm pen for the nutrients I am watering with also have a ph of 6.2 roughly. I feed/water whenever it goes dry to the knuckle. This is the only plant showing this so far it is over watered currently because it seemed like nutrient burn, but I may have over reacted and flushed when I didn't need too. Any help is greatly appreciated. The bottom leaves are not showing yellowing why I didn't think it was a nitrogen deficiency.

Thanks

Have you fed them any Micro/Macro nutrients? The pH looks to be in an OK range to absorb most nutrients in a Soilless medium, only things I can see from the leaves are maybe from the lack of Potassium, Zinc and Magnesium.

If they do need them, I used to go with Earth Juice, they make a liquid version that is inexpensive and 'easy to use' (being an Organic Soil grower now, I use Azomite Powder).

On a side note: the info/pics I looked at for "Nutrient Lock out/Deficiency" was from the Over Grow days and might be a little "outdated"... Someone with more knowledge should be here shortly :D

I am currently using Dyna Grow Kln, Dyna Gro Pro tekt, Dyna Gro grow. I am following there feeding guidelines for week two of nutrients. I potted them from Rapid Rooter roughly two weeks ago with 1 gallon pots.

What was the ppm of your nutrient water before you added it? And when you flushed did you check the ppm of your run- off? How often have you been fertilizing? Every watering, every other? She's fairly small so it wouldn't be difficult to over fertilize if you're following the recommended feeding chart.

My ppm of nutrient water was 270 and when I flushed my ppm was at 330. I been fertilizing every water and making sure my nutrient water wasn't higher than feeding chart. I just wasn't sure since didn't burn the tips that I could tell.

I got my run off water ppm to my normal water ppm because I believed I over fed.I fed every watering to watching some other grow videos they was feeding each watering. I also noticed that the yellowing was getting worse on edges day by day.

ppm to low u should be on round 600-800 ppm for plant that size

I am on 2ml grow, 1.25ml pro tekt, 2.5 kln, according to week two feeding chart. It is asking for .25 mag pro, but I didn't add it in last watering.

Oh no I was feeding on the soil feeding chart not the drain to waste. Is this correct I need to be feeding by the drain to waste? I hope I didn't ruin my plant by under feeding it for too long :(. I flushed thinking I may have been overfeeding.

Yes drain to waste and 270 is extremely low for soil. I'd put about half a gallon of ph'd, nutrient rich water thru that 1 gallon before more deficiencies set in -- like rob said, 6-800 ppm should do fine and don't worry about overwatering -- it'll be ok -- just let it dry out real well before you proceed with the correct feeding schedule.

over watering any ways man is like every day water in soil thats like mud thats what they mean if u have soil like me bvb or terra u can get away with doing a every day water u dont need to but u can i push a water in mine every 2-3 days with out a issue on a feed feed water cycle

Here I was being cautious not to over feed and I was starving my little girl. Poor Mrs Green. Lesson learned Thank you so much. Don't call the child cruelty hotline either for my mess up on the feeding lol.

That's the right attitude though moto -- it's better to underfeed than over feed in my opinion. A healthy dose of nutrients will bring a deficient plant back to near 100 percent in 1-3 days in most cases -- if you burn your plant , you kinda have to wait it out for awhile. I never over feed so I know if I see something weird I can rule out over-fertilization immediately.

I'm young but when it comes to soil growing, I'm oldskool. Water, let dry completely, water, let dry completely, repeat. Lol I bet you see some pretty rapid growth watering that way though.

Thanks again unwine you are a huge help for new growers. I will follow you and wish I could do more.
No problem bro, glad to help. I remember how overwhelming it was when I started about a decade ago. And I'm still a newb compared to some of these cats -- I still learn something new every grow.
