So I have 3 questions...First is,
When you have a plant, and you know it's pretty dry so time to water, how are you suppose to know when to stop pouring in the water? Or in my case spraying. Here is a picture of my 2 pots
They're pretty small, larger though than that pastic white cup. Any way I have a spray bottle of water and this morning for example I woke up and put my finger down it and it felt dry. So I sprayed the soil a few times till I felt as if the water reached teh bottom but not too much was sprayed. But how am I suppose to know if it's enough or too much?
When people say they drain their plants, doesnt that mean they fill the plant up till if overflows and just let it drain through the wholes? Isn't that the same thing as over watering? Should I buy a hydro meter at Home Depot or something?
2. Second Question:
I just learned how to really germinate seeds the correct way and found it worked quite well. I let it soak in a glass of water over night for about 12 hours, probably should hve left it in for more but ya. After about 12 - 13 hours I took it out of the water and placed it inbetween 2 paper towels and soaked it and put it in a zip lock back and placed it on top of my cable box as it is quite warm there. I came back home tonight about 8 hours later and the seed is already cracked a small bit where you can see a small line of white(the inside). This is the fastest I've ever germinated a seed.
So my question is now that I can see it's a TAD bit cracked, does it need air now? I heard once it's cracked you should not suffecate it from air, so do I just simply open up the zip lock back to give it air?
3. Third Question:
How long should the the rootlet be once I decide to place it in a soil pellet. I've seen pictures where they're half an inch to an inch long. Can you screw up by putting it in soil too early? Or too young?
