Over thinking cloning?

So I've used a homemade cloner a few time with inconsistent results. As well as just a plain old humidity dome (fish tank/heating pad).
But what if you can't get these containers, or like myself are unsatisfied.
Well no fear. After a long days of work and a few beers I came home to take some clones. Now at this point I really didn't want to set up the cloner. So I got to thinking. With a little time I had just the idea!
No dome, no cloner, just simple paper towels!

First cut your clones.

Second place in medium (apply root hormones if preferred)

Then rip up some paper towels.

Then apply the paper towel to the center of a fan leaf (don't make the towel bigger than any one finger of the leaf your placing it on.

The mist until the paper towel is thoroughly soaked.

The great thing about this is that paper towels can be stacked for longer times in-between waterings.

Right now I only use two stacked bits for 4-7 hours in between waterings.

It's also a good idea to change out the paper towel every day or two to prevent any harmful growth from growing on them.

WTF? Why does everyone make this so hard? The cuttings WANT to grow. All you have to do is keep the climate right and medium moist. And don't over do the light. Biggest mistake I see is not clean sharp razor to cleanly cutting 1 preferably 2 nodes and making sure they are in the medium. If you ONLY have stems in the ground and no nodes your making it harder for them to grow roots. BUT they will if treated right!

I've taken cuttings and tossed them into a water bottle without any treatment and they rooted at about 2 weeks just sitting on a window sill. I misted them twice a day and taped a sandwich bag to the bottles covering the cutting but leaving a little opening for air flow. I never ended up doing anything with them just an experiment.

I'll get some pics after I get back from the bar haha. Be warned one of the bag seed strains I'm working with is a bit "odd".

I will say this, using this method isn't for growers looking to make their product into a business. But for home growers that move small batches every now and then it can be helpful. Just a drunken/lazy thing I found to be useful. Which doesn't occur often. Lol

Please disregard the retards. But you can see that the leaf that the towel is applied will show signs of over watering. But with the progress they're making I can't really complain about that.
