I'm a complete noob but I have some experience with overwatering plants lol how big are your pots and how much time do you water them? your plants do look overwatered too me the droopy leaves are a tell tale sign that's how my plants looked I assumed I had fed them too much ferts so I flushed them and made the problems much worse lol.

They are 1 gallon pots some small roots poking out the bottom of most of the pots..I water when the pots go light and also check with a moisture meter to confirm..I had watered 2 days before they wilted and my meter said dry so idk???

Lol it is a 2 prong 3 way light ph moisture but it's a lowes special. I only use for moisture portion
They are no good either. Use the weight of the pot to tell when they are dry or saturated. These plants can go a long time with no water. I grow in coco and I let them get so dry sometimes you would think they would be dead but they don’t even wilt at all and at most the leaves will get a little droopy. Now overwatering will make them far worse than underwater

Pots were light and bone dry as far in as my finger would go and they were wilted when I watered last

it sounds to me that the problem is very likely you let it dry out too much, now your soil is likely hydrophobic or has pockets that are and this is stopping your plant from getting enough water. My bet is you water to runoff but seem to get a lot more runoff than you expect. besides up-potting you may want to thoroughly water the pots.

to help with the hydrophobic soil add some aloe, yucca, drop of dish soap to your water and when you water instead of just pouring the entire amount of water in the pot, divide it into a few pours of water, pour some on, really let it be absorbed then add more and wait until runoff

Yea I use a 16oz cup to water and I do it slowly pour a little and let it absorb but your right I seem to get more runoff than what I would expect from that amount of water in a pot that size.

So do I need to let them fully recover b4 transplanting?

Thinking that you might be thinking that they are watered enough but soil has become hydrophobic and not fully saturating.

Easiest fix is to add a drop of dishsoap to water and it will help maintain a better watering. You can add aloe vera also or SLOW incremental watering until watered thoroughly . Ditch that meter too.
