i went away for the weekend while my 1 light harvest wass drying. Thursday night chopped it and got home monday night to jar it and it was wayyyy to dry. Is there any good ways to get moisture evenly back into the nuggets?I can barely fit a half-pound into the bag! Please help

My friend said he takes the lid off of the jar and sets it on the bathroom sink while he's taking a shower and said the moisture from the room helps bring back the moisture without having to introduce things like orange peels or lettuce or whatever else people are using out there.

I read on RIU recently that somebody uses fan leaves. I guess if you had fan leaves that wouldn't be a bad thing to throw in the jar. But chances are if your bud is already too dry, your fan leaves are even drier or have already been turned into hash.

mist it it come back for sure
I would try the shower thing before misting it. I would be afraid misting it could cause mold to form.

It seems like misting would have a similar effect but the ambient steam would be less intrusive. No contact with beads of water.

If you are bagging or potting it, just put a small piece of lettuce in... doesn;t even have to touch...

you can do a 'water cure' at any time, even if the leaves are almost bone dry. just search here and i'm sure you'll find some related threads.

water curing will reduce the amount of plant matter but the thc isn't water soluble. buds will be smaller, but if its personal stash then ur not worried about final weight. so, after soaking ur bud... you can re-dry it pretty quickly to the desired dryness then place in sealed bag or jar to redistribute the little moisture that is left.

if you don't want to bother with all that, then just use a fine mist and place it in a small sealed container for a few hours then use brown paper lunch bags to ensure that it is dry enough throughout by 'tossing the buds' around inside the bags (moving center ones to the outside) once or twice a day till the bud feels dry enough to be kept in a sealed container or bag for the final curing.

I've seen before and after pics of water curing before. It's not nice.

It loses it's smell, size, and good looks

I don't dissagree... and yet, if i were paying for something i would rather it -be- water cured as it would get you more screwed up gram for gram... course, i'd rather smoke honey oil as well.

Are you sure it's too dry? The outside can seem pretty crispy after 4 days of drying but still be wet inside.

Curing in a jar will even the moisture out. Or for a quick fix put it in a zip lock bag and squeeze all the air out and GENTLY compress, within an hour it will be moist throughout.

Please just go put a nug in a banky with like a half thumb of a lettuce leave... check it again in an hour or two.... works quite fast...

Yeah man. Give it a try. A little nug can't hurt anything. You might end up real happy in the end.
