Oven Drying?

I'm curious to know if drying your buds in the oven is ok? I know it might be a stupid question. But i'm curious...

What happens to the buds? Pro vs cons?

Heat and strong Light is the enemy of THC after a harvest. Don't do it.

If you need info on proper drying and harvesting and curing, let me know..

And if you do it it wil be bad smoke with bad taste.

I read somewhere to put some in a brown paper bag and set it on the back of a tv set, or just something that heats up a little bit. I've done it and it works, but I only did it to enough buds that would last me until the rest was properly dried.

ya i would put them in the oven at 550 degree's for about an hour, turn them often to insure equal dryness throughout the entire bud. after that they should be plenty dry enough to smoke. then when your done if you still have plants in the ground i would go and cut the roots off this will start the drying process a little sooner so you dont have to wait much longer.....have some patience my friend let them dry right you will be much happier in the end.. you might be able to smoke them in maybe even 5 days. you waited this long to let them grow, wait a few more days so you can enjoy the smoke

LOL ya if you want charcoal.

If you want to quick dry them in the oven set it for 200 degrees F and only leave them in there for 20 minutes max.
To remove the premature taste soak them in cold water overnight and let them drip dry before putting them in the oven. They will take longer to dry out in the oven if they are soaking wet, probably an hour. Best to let them drip dry for a day before putting them in the oven. Never put buds in the microwave, it will vaporize the TCH.

Out here so I got a humidefire and its been doin ok I try and keep it at 50% I got like 5 wks left
Drying wise what would b ideal for humidity while drying...and there also sativas and I know they have a
Low chlorophyl if anyone can help me out would b awesome thanx

I would not worry about the humidity unless it is too high and you will not dry fast enough and get mold. Just hang them for less time like 4 days instead of 7 if humidity is low, they might get a little crispy on the outside but that should be fixed when you cure them. How are you curing them?

Yeah I'd only oven dry a little bit that you will be smoking right after if need be, 250-300 for 15 mins does the trick.
