Outdoors In The Northeast

It's that time of the year again and I am curious to see what varieties you outdoor growers in the northeast have lined up for this year's grow.

As for me, I'm going with "AMS" from GH, "Jack Herer" from GH, "Church" another from GH and Critical Plus from Ripper Seeds.

AMS is an old standby, that I grow outdoors every year up here, and it usually does very well. Ripper Seeds are still new kids on the block, but they have made a very good name for themselves in Spain as well as Europe and have some very good genetics they work with. It should be fun !

So, What varieties do you outdoor growers in the northeast have on tap for this year ??
Hello cn u inbox me info on ams like smell taste etc

I'm also considering Samsara Green Love Potion, as well as something from Sannies.....

Ok....this is what I've put together.....what do you all think ?

This order would be through herbies..I'd get the regular freebies that they off plus a couple of breeder freebies...was thinking though of asking if they could switch out the strawberry blue for something else...

I am probably going to grow only around 4 to 6 plants maxxx....leftovers could be grown indoors, or next year outdoor.

(3) dinafem critical jack fem - $35
(4) females seeds Purple Maroc - $27
(3) Samsara GLP fem - $32
FREEBIES:
(1) Delicious Cotton Candy fem
(2) World of Seeds strawberry blue fem - switch out ?
(5) Hawaiian Skunk Haze regulars
(1) dinafem OG Kush
(1) Samsara Flash Babylon auto

I believe the last two freebies are fem also....my outdoor stuff would be a combo of dinafem CJ, Purple Maroc, and the GLP.....

altogether it's just over $100 shipped....that's 15 fem seeds and 5 regulars...that should hold me over for a bit...at least till I build another cab, lol....

keep in mind that those 4-6 can end up as 2-3 come the end of the season, due to unexpected mishaps, so It might be better to plant a few more

Thnx for the reply...since this is my first serious attempt at outdoor i would be really happy with one plant....But I think I will plant 6.....anything over one would turn out to be a real nice bonus.

Hey guys when can we expect our plants to start flowering in the NE ?

Or, how many hours of daylight does it take before they start flowering ? I'm on the 43 N latitude....

I was planning on vegging them for 16 on 8 off then transplant them outside when the daylight hours are at their longest which here if 15h 20m.....

Thnx

I always notice this depends on the strain to be precise, but I normally start to see pre flowers in mid Aug. I'm at 44N latitude. I also tend to veg mine for a long time and this does make a little difference in my opinion.

What are some methods you guy's and gals use to detour animals. I like to sprinkle hair clippings around a little. It has worked for me for years but I also don't go crying if I lose a couple here and there.

Wanted to add I think @Foothills, we should keep this thread going. It would be nice to see what others are doing in these parts through out the season.

Sounds like a great idea, jimmer. Sharing our experiences and things like that has got to be a good thing. If anyone would like to post pictures of what they have going, please feel free and maybe we can keep this thread going for the entire season !!

I'm normally harvesting the end of October if the weather permits me to wait that long. I had to shake snow of them a couple of mornings last fall. I think it's got to do with my location I plant in is wide open so it gets more evening and morning light. This may sound stupid, but I have a friend who gorilla grows close by in the woods and his start about 2 weeks earlier. I've just assume it was because the woods tend to get darker quicker due to coverage. I'm also on the highest hill in the county. It will be interesting to compare this summer.

I'll start of the pictures. Here's my 3 moms that are going outside as soon as I can. I had to move them from my veg area so my indoor girls had some room to breath before I move them into flower next week. Also are 5 THC Auto Bomb seedlings that are going outside once they get big enough For a quick outdoor harvest.001.JPG002.JPG

The 3 big ones are just in a window for the next week so they look a little rough.

I'm going to do an outdoor grow this year with 3-4 plants. I just sprouted a Fruity Chronic Juice that I had, and I have been looking for good mould, and pest resistant strains that finish in September or early October. I'll probably add "The Church" and was looking at "Blueberry Headband", "Early Skunk", and a few others that I can't decide which ones I want. lol
Im at 45N, right on the coast, and I will put my girls out the first week of June.

"The Church" sold out while I was trying to make up my mind, so I ordered the Blueberry Headband, and Crazy Miss Hyde. The FCJ will have a big headstart.

Here's a couple of my little ladies, headed for the outdoors around the end of May.
Seedling on the left is a "Super Critical" fem from Green House seeds. On the right is a "Jack Herer" fem, also from GHS.
Both seedlings broke the surface 1 week ago today, and since today is 4/20, what better time to have your picture taken for the first time ?
Have a Happy Easter everyone !! IMG_0290.JPG

Happy Easter and 4/20 to you. Your babies are looking healthy. I grew a couple nice Jack Herer last year outdoors and they did great. Here's a picture of 1 of them in the middle of Sept.003.JPG

Nice strains Burner! I'm in NS.
I ordered my seeds from Single Seeds Canada. "The Church" was out of stock for a few days, and when they got it back in, they sold out before I could choose a couple more seeds. She must be popular around here.
My FCJ is a couple days old, and should be a decent size plant come June. My other seeds should be here buy the 30th, so they should have a decent start before heading outside too.
