so i'm interested since i couldn't find anything online with a few quick google searches.... anyone recommend this? i only have a 400w hps in my flowering room so they wouldn't be vegging for very long but i'm just worried they are going to stretch or something.

I would worry more about critters you're bringing back inside to your flowering area more then stretching...otherwise there's no reason you couldn't.

ya the critters are almost unavoidable here anyway. i caught spider mites from my first plants and they were in my closet. probably came from my clothes because i live on 2 acres of land and work in it all the time. no sign of the spider mites now because i bought some killer shit that kills them and the eggs with one treatment. my flowering room is outdoor in a storage trailer so it gets pretty hot without the door open. think i'm pretty S.O.L. in that department. maybe i should just spray down the surrounding areas to keep the dust down.

i would do it the other way around.. obviously.
you can veg just fine indoors but the u cant get the yield indoor flowering like you can outside. unless your growing like 1 plant under a 1000 or something, and some people say outdoor smokes better

ya i'm thinking this is probably a weird situation because i would think anyone who could grow outside would do a full outdoor grow but for me... i can only keep the small ones out of neighbor's clear view. i don't have a separate room for veg so i figured what better than the sun.
i do have one 2 1/2 footer out there but i tied it down and am going to form an espalier of sorts to keep the height down.

If you do bring your plants inside after vegging outdoors, I would recommend getting some ladybugs in your grow room as they eat spider mites, aphids, thrips, and other harmful buggies that want to eat up your plants

Make sure, whether you're growing indoors or outdoors that you only release the ladybugs when the sun is setting/about to be dark because when ladybugs sense that night approaches, they stop flying about, land in plants to look for food and shelter. This way, you can have ladybugs stay on your plants and if your infestation is substantial, your ladybugs will make home of your grow room. If you have enough buggies for the ladybugs to eat, they will eventually lay their eggs in your growing medium and you will have future ladybugs to protect your plants.

In short, LADYBUGS=GROWERS BEST FRIEND

lol that's awesome dude, i actually saw ladybugs being sold at orchard supply the other day. i've heard of this before but i've heard they all kill themselves when the lights come on. i'd be more afraid of them getting sucked into the light and/or sucked out. for now i have a killer solution to the spidermites but i'll definitely try that out when i fully enclose the room.
