outdoor plants grown indoors

hey everyone, i have been playing with the idea of growing outside next year. im growing northern lights inside right now and though next year i may go out into the forest (everywhere around me) and plant like 20 clones or something. but since its an indoor strain i want one more suitable for outside, which leads me to my question:

Can an outdoor plant (outdoor as regarded by seed banks) survive inside until its cloned an be perfectly fine? or will northern lights be fine outdoors? anybody tried doing this?!
