Outdoor Organic Fertilizer?

There was this one time I came to visit and there was a shoot severed about mid way..Was going to thin that shoot anyways but that had to have been an animal. The other half of the branch was just chillin on the ground so whatever it was didnt eat it..

Blood meal and bone meal are top dressings that tend to draw unwanted attention. But in general, organic ferts are manure based, and very smelly. Small animals will root around in your patch. Many folks use wire around your pots {assuming you are growing in pots}, but that is not always enough to deter them.

It sounds like a deer nipped off your limb. I lose a lot to deer, even with using chemical ferts.
