Here’s my Outdoor in the Adirondacks. Gush Mints from clone. Probably got 14 days left or so, I’m not sure if she will make it, but I constructed an impromptu lean to over them to guard against frost…if it gets too scary I’m ready to pull and do a crazy nug run of ice water hash :weed:

Yeah, I’m excited for next year as well, gonna try some bigger set ups.

just don’t do what I did after my first year…I did alright the year before so I thought, ‘this year I’m gonna kill it and get em’ out ASAP.’. Went and put em out as soon as I was sure we were clear of frost, end of April if not middle…poor girls went right into flower, then come June revegged, so she didn’t get any size, then reflowered and grew me a shitty 7-10 grams:wall:

June 1st and they will be all that they can be for you.

I shouldn't have harvested early but I learned a lot and got just under a pound of good smoke so I'm happy. But when u dried I believe it's from airy buds and a lil over dried but curing is going weird. When I trimmed my bud still had wet insides so ik they were not completely dried. When they went in jars they could have been sealed for a week straight and no mold. I haven't really been burping them either. Bud they are slowly evening out in moisture will curing still break down chlorophyll when I trimmed I left sugar leavers sense its all personal.

I would let it cure for 3-4 weeks…no sugar leaves and 2-3 weeks works, but with that extra chlorophyll your going to want to give it the time it needs to break down. Also the moist in the middle, really depends on how moist. If it’s wet…like fresh off the vine wet there is a good chance you will end up molding in the jar. Especially if you aren’t burping at least once a day and leaving the top off the jar for a little bit (I do like 10-15 mins for the first 5 days, then every 2 or 3 days through the second week, and less time open, like 5 mins or less as time goes on.) after week 2 of cure I don’t open the jar anymore, other than to get a whiff now and again until I’m ready to smoke it.

that being said, since you said your buds weren’t quite ready when you harvested and they were airy…that may help you cause there is less moist plant matter and more airspace, so you could just be good. When you cure the idea is to homogenize the moisture content of the bud, so basically being in a confined airtight space, the moisture in the center “sweats” out, the burping allows the excess moisture to escape the vessel

All of these and/or cuttings of them will go in the mountains this year. Starting to think about whipping these neglected girls into shape so they can be beefy this summer.

They are 15 gallons, but those plants were a lot smaller than they could have been, I didn’t get them out until July, just wasn’t possible before then under the circumstances, this year will be much better, if Mother Nature cooperates of course.

Those plants look amazing! Gonna do 10 Gallon fabrics this year for the yard. Here in southern Ontario, won't be going out until around June 1 after a Solo cup start. Environment Canada put out the spring forecast and it looks remarkably shitty for the end of May, so fingers crossed. Good luck fellow Outdoorsies!

Depending on where you are in southern Ontario you could be south of me…or we could almost play catch across the water. I am 500 feet from the st. Lawrence river. Looking over at you guys right now lol. :eyesmoke:

I’m in Toronto proper. Makes for a very urban grow, but use fabric bags (10G) and build my soil to suit, so can maximize the space (and limited grow window with these brief Canadian summers ;)

What are you running this season? This seasons lineup at the casa/yard will be: Lambs Bread (fem auto), Apricot Kush (reg auto) and Northern Lights (fem photo) Also keeping an eye on the forecasts as I’d love to pop seeds around mid May to be ready to go out before June. What are your plans?

Can’t wait to get the hands dirty and dig in!

I’ve got some deep chunk, that’s a fast flower 7 weeks or so, that I’m excited to breed with one of my longer flowering strains to see if I can climatize it to grow better outdoors up here. That is the pet outdoor project for the summer. I also plan to grow one or two gush mints like I did last year, one or two space runtz, but the majority of the grow will be Gary Payton. Think I’m going to do 30 gallon pots for a good number, maybe one Gary Payton in a 50 or 100 gallon pot, I think I will have the dirt, although more people than usual have been asking me if I have some extra soil so I may not. Should be quite the spread though weather permitting.
