Outdoor grower needs advice on lights

Brief summary of current situation. I veg during winter months with lights and outside. I use cfl's for 6 hours a day giving my vegging plants 18/6. Then I set them outside to flower, with increasing sun I move them inside each night to keep the light cycle the same. Been doing this now for over three years with good success other than mold.
Enter a new 600 watt lumatek dimmable ballast and set up. I plan on moving my girls from outside to inside when they reach the half way point in flower. This is the point they have hard time coping with the humidity without molding.
First question to growers. What is the best bulb (HPS) to use in this operation?
Second question: I am currently growing my plants where they finish at between 3 and 4 feet. How many plants without trimming off the bottom branches can I finish in this set up.
thank you in advance for your advice and opinions, if you ever need help with outdoor grows I will be happy to return the advice.
Merry Christmas

Maybe we could shorten the question. What in your opinion is the best hps bulb for flowering.

For HPS; EYE Hortilux is the brand and you want the LU600S/HTL/EN for blooming.
Also, FYI:
For MH; EYE Hortilux is also the brand and you want the LU1000MH/HTL/EN for rooting and veg.

4-9 plants of that size should work fine, depending on how bushy they are.

I hope this helps.

get a 1000w hps ,veg to about 12" outside, trim lower branches as they dont produce like outdoor, plants finish about 2-3 feet high. 175mm pots sog, put about 30-40 under it. you will get more buds and less stem in less time. bread crate for eg is good way to move them around, while outside.

Than you all for your help and suggestions. I have done lots of reading and I think I will either go with the Hortilux or the Sylvania. The Sylvania isn't mentioned here much but from what I have seen by some commercial nursery growers they have a very good bulb.
+ reps for the responses and your insights, thank you so much.
