hey i have a wooded area (about 5 acres) in my property and im planning on making my own pot garden somewhere in it next spring.
ive been purchasing various seeds that would grow well in the climate of north carolina But ive been reading about infrared detection and i heard they can detect marijuana plants even if there in the woods and i was just wondering if this is true and if so about how many would i be able to plant in one area or in spread out "clusters" without detection?

im new at outdoor growing and this may be a dumb question but any input and suggestions are welcome for +rep

It's simple.... No just grow them the have to see your crop by eye from the chopper weed doesn't give off heat!!!! Any one who tells you different is a idiot. They use infored to fine grow rooms due to the heat from the lights. And that's at night most of the time when they fly W/infered.

Due plot them out like 5 plant here and there for many reasons

ive heard pine trees give off the same heat signature as mj-from a show where they were following the search on camera for tv and the dea guy said about how thats one of the most popular spots to hide them and avoid detection. but u gotta bring your own soil and containers/pots (just bury the whole pot, id go with 5 gallan myself. then cuz the ground will be too acidic)

If it was me I would do a couple of clusters here and a couple of clusters there.I've got a friends and family that live out in Northern Cali and they grow alot now they do have their med card but their in good with the police and they asked what is really looked for when there searching and they said its the large patches of bud 10-20 plants that are grown together its not the heat its the color that they give off from above sticks out like a sore thumb...So your best bet is to 2-4 about 5feet apart and then go off for 30-40 yards and do 2-4 more and so on.. hope this is helpful good luck

They look for the yellowing of the lower leafs that happens during budding that's the tall tell. But the do get um when there full and green, they got mine.
Small patches of up to five is the way to go for alot of reasons. Isolates animal attacks pest and insects also rippers might miss a few patches and the biggest reasson for most is least chance of choppers detecting them. NOT DUE TO HEAT. POT DONT GIVE OFF HEAT!!!!
