outdoor force flowering

this year will be my second grow, but my first outdoor... ive probly spent 6-8 hrs doing research on just about every aspect of my grow this year. i really really dont want to wait till sept/oct to harvest it all. can you force flower outdoor somehow without them returning to veg? any help would be greatt.

its not what you think. you can cut their light cycle down at the end of the season to enduce flowers a little early and have mother nature take over but other than that its just not realistic.

plant in early march if you want buds sooner, or just get an autoflowering strain

well ive got 12 germenating as we speak that will be ready to go in pots as early as april 1st. but if worst comes to worst could i cover the plants i want to flower to create a 12/12 cycle all the way through flowering?

i could grow indoor again.. but i would have to use an led setup.... lost my job, living with the rents again. they know ill be growing but the heat, ventilation, power bill spiking, ect... would forsure turn them away from indoor... they dont mind the odor.

you need to build a light proof tent and put it over the plants after they get 12 hours of light, probably from the middle of the day.

well i've seen good reviews and horrible reviews about leds.. and im looking into both led indoor and outdoor... are leds even worth a damn? or do i just need to invest in a nice led set-up?

Despite the odds, I'm going to try it. I'm either going to cover them in June with a trashbag, or bring them indoors to a totally dark closet. I have 1 seedling now that I'll veg until mid-May or when it gets over 1 ft tall, then induce flowering.

this is a good method..

how else can you cover big outdoor plants?

that or get auto flowering strains and start them indoors early..

yea im not dropping a hundred plus on 10 seeds... even though the profit margin is still 2000%... or something like that.. i just dont have hundreds and hundreds to drop like that... not being out of work and all.
either way i go... ill keep an grow log for ya on how this outdoor force flower goes.. idk if its even been done.

i was thinking about force flowering in the summer as well.
But i was thinking about using the panda film. the one that insulates the inside and keep the out side air out. but a trash bag is a bad idea imo, b/c a black bag will make the temp go higher than the outside temps.
anybody else thinking along the same lines?

Good concerns dude, but regarding bagging my plant, I would do it in the cool shade of an enclosed patio. 'Not saying it's guarantee, but I'm gonna give it a whirl.

shade or not the plant will get hotter than air temp....besides u will suffocate the thing.....u can try but it just wont work garbage bag way....too much stress....jus get the autoflowers and be done with the guess work.....40 bucks man u can make twice that in a day cleaning sombodys gutters...get a few dollars for seed....

Most seed producers recommend at least two weeks growth before force flowering. Personally i'd go with at least a month. Small yields though with such small plants.

You know, you may be right dude. My last option is bringing it in early and sticking her in a dark cool closet. And yes, I'll be ordering Attitude's AK-47 Lowrider x 2's.

I do it all the time. I plant in pots and move them into a shed at night. I do a perpetual outdoor harvest all summer long. I'm waiting to move my first batch of plants out now. They have been flowering three weeks, and I will put them out when it's four weeks. But when it warms up to about 70 in month, I just do everything, except cloning outdoors.

I don't know about covering them with a garbage can though, not enough air.

Very very cool!! Can you tell us what your light cycles are with respect to vegging and then flowering?

I have a seedling that I plan to veg until it gets a foot tall or so, then I'll bring into a dark closet. I'm in the southeast United States to give you a idea of my daylight hours.

I'm in California. But I flower plants using a shed all summer when it seems that the sun is always shining. And my shed isn't even totally light proof, and I've never had a problem with hermis. I just put them in the shed around 7 or 8pm and take them out 12 or so hours later.

It's in the 70 here, so I have put out a few plants that had been flowering 3 weeks. And they are doing great.

If you are putting them in a closet make sure there is some kind of airflow.
