I ask this because outdoors marijuana doesn't start flowering at 12/12 does it? If my thats the case then if you are growing in a place like California then it hits 12/12 on the 25th of September.
12/12 is for indoor lighting. Outdoors plants start flowering probably around fourteen hours or less of light. In most of the US that's anywhere from late julynto mid August. By sept 21st you should be halfway or more through flowering
yes, 14 hours seems to be the earliest some strains flower.
You can flower at 13 indoors too.
obijohn, It's sad I live in latitude 57, and my plants are only like 1 week flowering. maybe a little more. And frosts come in the end of october, so seems i'll have to harvest early. Shit.
Mine started flowering at 13.5 hours. Use this site to see the hours, http://astro.unl.edu/classaction/animations/coordsmotion/daylighthoursexplorer.html

I dont know about that 25th of September....I live in So Cali , i have two different regular strains that growing outdoor now...one strain was already flowering on August 10th and other strain started flower on August 27th and i have two clones that cutting from its mother and flower right away in about two weeks after took rooting, all grow outdoor...by end of Octember, the frost will be back.
it will help you if you use this calculator, heres a link http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/astronomy.html?n=846 , in my area , August's hours was starting to short the days. If 14 hours is in your area , its still vegging time...till 13 hours, it will trigger flower time.
