outdoor flowering advice needed

So my plants have been flowering since the beginning of august.I noticed today that the forming buds on the top of the plants white hairs have shrunk, are mostly brown, and have alot of crystals.

1. The more mature buds are about 1/4 of all the buds and i want to know if this means that i will need to harvest them earlier than the rest.

2. My other question has to do with the fan leaves. Are the large fan leaves preventing some of the buds from maturing? i heard that cutting the fan leaves can slow bud growth, so is there any truth to it?

Thanks

2 things. Last Spring, my Afghan & Orange Bud was doing the same thing.... until I put some Earth juice Bloom on them, and the white hairs just exploded! So make sure they have good blooming ferts. On primary Sativa's, I take leaves that are directly blocking light from a lower bud. The plant makes more fan leaves, just don't take too many. Also, the top buds, which get more light, will be ready to pick faster than the lower ones. If you just pick the buds as they are ready, the lower buds will kick-in big time, because now they have more light.
I fed mine today, Epsom salt, green sand, molasses, earth juice bloom, fish emulation & liquid seaweed. 1/4 gal. per plant, after I watered them well. That should get their heart right. Hope this helped.
