Soo I have a grow underway (7 fd autos).
I was just wondering if anyone has ever tried an outdoor dry in a northern climate.. should be finished August.
Just looking to see if any of you knowledgeable people have any tricks up your sleeves

I'm new to growing but I am 99.99% sure you can not dry outside what's so ever!! The sun will bake your bud and kill the thc trichomes and leave your bud all dry and crispy. If you don't have a place to dry as I do what h plan on doing is building a box that I will be able to leave outside and dry weed in. Take one those big ass storage containers that have the detachable tops, usually a rectangular shape and there at like every Walmart, find a way to hang your bud from the lid of the container then cut 2 holes on each side and get a fan that blows towards your bud from outside in the fresh air then another fan that's blowing outside the box so you will get best air flow possible. Leave the box in the most shaded part possible then you should be good to go. But by the way, I've never personally tried this its just an idea I do plan on trying it this season but from what I know about drying weed that has all the type of conditions you need for drying

Hey Rolla, any idea how to actually hook up a fan system?

I had the same idea but I was going to try use a bottomless card box with a fine mesh on the bottom and some king of tarp over it somewhere? Lol

I haven't looked too into it but I know the input fan should be at the top them the output fan should be at the bottom I think is how it works, I'm not too sure, just came up with that idea when doing research on a grow box a while back ago, so really make a grow box without lights. Look into that sure they got some forums here, if you mean by the powering of the fans then if needed get some battery operated ones, I know they got to have some at Walmart or something like that.
