Out of SuperSoil...what Nute line should I use for this one batch?

Hey folks,

I've been using super soil for so long that I don't know what to do without it! Last time I used nutes was house and garden with rockwool years ago...

So I don't have any super soil cooked up and need to flip a batch into flower...

I have always supplemented a bit with Bontanicare Sweet and CalMag as well as HG Roots Excelerator and Great White...also throw in a little Humboldt Nutes Molasses...

So any recomendations? Maybe Botanicate Pure Blend? that is pretty old school and organic right? How about adding some dry suppliments as top feed? Any of those dry FoxFarm Nutes any good? Humboldt?

Lost without my super soil...

Earth juice, but it has a bit of a learning curve. If you have been brwing teas for a while than you should have no problem using earth juice

I have been using the full BotaniCare Pure Blend Pro line for the last 2 years and have been very happy. I will move to SuperSoil when I have a little more bandwidth in my life. My journals are below and Sub has talked about our medicine on his Weed Nerd show. I think BotaniCare would be an excellent, close to organic, solution for you.

Thanks everyone!!! Im gonna take a look at all of these...I've heard about Earth Juice and smoked some really good ICE that was grown with it...But since I know and love the smells and tastes of Bontanicare think I will do that...although tempted to try that Happy Frog!!!

Ok i know a guy that growns in Happy frog soil, mmid veg, he adds a handfull of Happy frog tomato and VEGable soil additive 7-4-5. than when he flowers he uses Happy frog fruit and flower 5-7-4. and has good results, but i think he has alittle too much nitrogen, so now i have him useing the Happy frog Japaness maple soil additive 4-7-5 and mix in alittle happy frog 0-5-0 "P" guano soil additive, witch makes the mix 4-12-5.... And I think that would be a good mix. He only adds water intill day 30 and 45 he adds mollossas,

This methed is just like super soil, except you add a handfull of Organic stuff on once in veg and once when you are going to flower.

It does not give you AS good as a perfect Super soil grow, but it is still really good ORGANIC weed , It is just as easy.

Pure blend & pro are good, but should be noted, most not 100% organic (the PB veg is, but not the PBP veg), tho it is pretty close. I use it. If you want 100% organic go with EJ

PS Hovering - Why is it you think supersoil is more bandwidth than pure blend? In my experience, PB/nutes are WAY more work than super soil. Super soil is a couple hours work and you're done! Just water. PB/nutes, every single time it's measure, mix, (for me) pH check/adjust, etc, sometimes multiple mixes of water per watering as i may have different plants taking different nute levels. That time adds up over a grow to more than the work of making super soil in my opinion. W/ super soil once it's mixed... you're done. Just add water :) Organic amendments in supersoil on a long term basis going to break down to cheaper than the PB line as well.

Agreed.

It is the time and space to make it happen for me. I am exceedingly busy so the initial process is what I need to make time and space for. Mixing, cooking, studying... I will also be running the SS side-by-side with my BC once I move to switch. My patients rely on my consistency so I can't afford to just switch all at once without making sure the switch is for the better right from jump (for my patients, extra work is ok if I need to do it for my patients). I will do the extra work between now and then to make sure the switch goes smoothly. With an active medical garden, one should always be very careful about both big and small changes.

Very true... didn't think about that as well if you've already got a system down that's completely dialed in, I'd probably be hesitant to switch as well, even if it seems like there'd be advantages to the switch.

I wish I woulda read that a couple weks ago. my change burnt the shit out of 20 plants in veg, had to flush! I never have burnt plants in veg. It was depressing.... but they finally recovered. Anyway your smarter than me.

Other than my own mistakes to the OP, I used GO line this run, and molassis a few times. Got the same results as when I used FF nutes (no one hate me too much for FF) except its completely organic now. I think its more how you use the nutes than the brand, and I say flushing is crucial with synthetics, I and my friend both noticed a chem taste when I didnt flush one plant using FF nutes.
and im done rambling now...
