hey guys
im out of room, i can no longer fit a light above my plant
im thinking of bending over the top of the plant, about 4 nodes down, you can see in the pictures 13 and 15 is about where im planing on bending. its before the flowers are bushing out, hard to explain haha but you can tell from the pics.

Will this be effective?
what will happen, in terms of bud development?
just please anyone give me sum advice/knowledge of what will happen

(basic info on grow)
(bagseed, 106W CFL, soil, "nitrophoska" everyother watering, watering about every 3 days)

You can LST or simply bend them over and snap them so they hang over broken. They will heal in a week or so and can actually produce huge yields on those bent/broken colas. If your going to LST there is a good chance your going to snap it anyway. If you really want to LST and it is late in the game for this, do what I do and tape a couple of pieces of heavy electric wire (12/2 or 12/3) onto the stalk. It provides support, it bends, and will prevent the top from simply falling over and snapping under the weight. I did this back in November when i out grew 7' of head room in a cabinet. I doubled the wire to make it extra stiff, used black electrical tape and taped it around the stalk and slowly bent it over as needed over a couple of days. Don't do it all at once unless you want to break it.

Me, I would just snap it and let it hang supported until it heals. Hard to do I know, growing your girls for weeks and weeks and now you have to inflict damage to her. Smoke a big one and just snap her over. If you have many tops that need this I wouldn't do them all at once unless you want some seeds...

If your referring to Super Cropping you dont want to actually snap the branch.

To the OP, you can check my journal for pics and info on super cropping and if need be I will make you a personal 5 minute vid on how to do it.

Another thing you could do depending on which part of 2 weeks your at, beginning or end, is top them.

glad it worked out for ya. See if you can get a good pic or two of right where the skin on the branch mashed up from the bend so others will be able to see it clearly.

I'm two weeks in also and have started a thread for us first time flowerers. Help, info, and comraderie is what the threads about, plus sharing pics of our bounty when done. You should come and join up.

I had the exact same issue and did the exact same thing, works excellent, my plants that I did it too look shorter and bushier with NO effect on anything health-wise

Hey Conepuller. If you are running out of space I can definitely recommend bending the plant over and growing it horizontally. Im using LST at the moment in my grow. I kept training for the first 4 weeks of flower and it worked an absolute treat. Gradually get your plant over to a 90 degree and keep it horizontal at the hight you want. Remember to allow for vertical development of the multiple colas. I have 4 plants grown vertical, each plants have over 10 colas. they develop along the high points of the horizontal growth. so When you bend it be sure to keep the growing tip slightly below the horizontal branches.
I hope I am explaining this easy. It sounds tricky but it is easy as. And quite fun if you enjoy spending a bit of time training them for a couple of weeks.
Here is a couple of shots of my plants. I had huge height restrictions so I trained them to fit. Hope I can help or give you ideas. Any questions just ask. I got a journal going too, check it out. I am subbed to this one. Good luck man.

haha checked ur jpurnal, only 150W, how much are those?
Hey bro, thanks for checkin out my journal. Yeah the 150 watt hps is magic. A worthy investment. You can actually source them quite easily. They are commonly used as security lights and almost every streetlight is a 150w HPS so keep ya eyes open.
I only vegged for about 4 weeks, if that. So real short veg time. And the plants are only 33 cm tall from the bottom of the pot. They can be kept within 4 inches from the light. But you can only have a max of 3 plants under if growing in a small space. I have learnt some good lessons with my grow and I hope I can pass on some advice. Have you bent your young lady over yet? Get into it man. It's a good way to grow.
