Our Grow House.... (video)

Here is a vid to a potential Grow spot. We are looking to grow 36 plants total (licensed to grow 60) but plan to start off with 16. We are growing all LED and T5. It's just too hot out here to use HPS lights. I'm ok with a little less yield.

I'd love to hear some feedback on ideas for how to set this up. Thanks in advance for any tips!

Your going to use the whole house? Wow I wish I had that kind of space! lol. So are you looking to do muti-strain grow? Are you planning to do a perpetual grow? How many led lights will you have? Just tryn to get an idea of how you would set up each room. Are you planning to fim/top? sog/srcog? These are all questions you should be asking yourself when you designing a room (or in this case a house). How are you planing to vent that many plants as well? Look like you have people close to you so you might want to deticated a room just to vent into and scrub the air a few times before it leave the house. You can use the attic or basement for this also. In a cabinet grow I just read about he inclosed his whole window so no light would get out and then ran hvac from it. That way you have fresh air (unless your using co2) and no one will see the lights. Im sure this isnt your first rodeo but Im just talking out what I would think of when walking through there.

No going to use 2-3 of the bedrooms. Just looking for ideas on setup. We will have the following

3 large scrubbers in the house
12 500watt LED (340 watt draw each) curious if we will need a 240 put in and an extra breaker. Im thinking yes.
Growing in Coco on automatic drip system

oh wow man...please dont use LED..i use t osell them..worked for the company that holds the patent for the tech..its usless in my eyes for what your trying to do..u would be better with 100 watt ge lightbulbs... now... if your just worried about heat... get some 4 foot t4s and veg and flower under there.. or better yet... howabout some aircooled lights with some 8 inch inline fans and a 20k ac unit... problem solved..or retrofit your house ac unit outside to pump all the cold air in the rooms.... and as for getting less yeild... if your talking about 80 to 90 percent less and your happy with it.. go for it..or dont waiste your time...

We are using LED's. Ones we and others are having GREAT success with. Thanks though for some nice 2009 feedback ;)

hey man do you mind private messaging me what type/kind of LED lights you are using? im interested in starting my own grow using LED lights as well, im not using an entire house though lol just a bedroom and 9 areoponic 4'x4'x4' systems and was wondering what the most sufficient way to light it would be? like set them all side by side in the middle of the room with a couple 500 watt lights over the 9 systems? or should i get 1 300 watt led light per system and divide the 9 systems into 3 smaller rooms inside the bedroom for a SOG effect? please help..

hey man i live in az as well, good to see some other az growers haha. im going to use areoponic setup like they did in the video 15 pounds in 80 days by seemorebuds.... but those systems in the video are like 600$ each, so i made my own out of 275 gallon IBC totes. cut the top off of those and build a misting system out of pvc pipes/joints and 360degree misters to put inside, seal a top on the tote and drill holes to match 3 inch netpots and theres my system, now i just need to figure out how to light them all, would it be better to do a sea of green effect and make 3 seperate rooms inside my bedroom? or should i just put 9 (or more if i can fit them) inside the bedroom and put some LED lights above the big square of 9 systems?

I havnt used led's.....yet but Im charging over after seeing the results everywhere! Do you mind telling us what lights you are using? So if your using 3 rooms the you can have 2 flower and 1 mother/clone/veg room. Im sure you will need to upgrade the elec.

I'll be using 12 500 watt (330 watt draw) lights that are being made here locally by a new start up company. They use all 3 watt CREE led's. Currently we are trying out the Blackstar 240's and they are pretty dang nice actually. We thought about HPS but the cost and heat savings is too great to pass up here in a city where it's 115 degrees in the summer.

Just so you're clear, 1 500 watt LED is good for about 2-3 plants. I would HIGHLY recommend less plants and a Scrog when using LED. You won't get a ton of penetration to that undergrowth anyway so you might as well skip it.

Nice on the led lights! Ya I was looking at the blackstars. Also I agree that the led is great for the first layer but has no penetration. Scrog would be the best for that.
