Alright boys today is the 12th of feburary and the babies are 17 days old since they popped through soil... Do you guys think they are ready for a little LST or should I wait another week until there a bit bigger?? I'm also thinking about moving the lights a little closer + add some more cfls.. Wat do u guys think?

I would move them closer and wait about another week. nice growth rates though, but they will grow faster closer to the lights. check out my second grow. link \/below\/

Thanks for the quick response man.. Noob question comin at ya but keepin cfls closer to the lights keeps em short right? So how does it grow faster closer to lights?? Seems like they take forever to grow when the lights are too close.. ++rep mang ill check out your grow right now

The plants dont grow up with the cfls that close because they are growing out and thickening up stalkwise. With your cfl's like that i would check those connectors, i had just 3 on one outlet and it got ridiculous hot, so throw a fan at the canopy to help keep it cool.

Putting the lights up close will make your plant spread out more, keeping them close with get you a thicker, bushier plant. if you want them to get taller move the light make them reach, but with cfls you get the best from them keeping the lights close. I always keep my light about 2 inchs away, just put your hand in between the light and your plant if its hot to you then its hot to the plant. Benifit of having a wider plant is they are able to absorb more light, faster growth...

It's all about keeping short distance between nodes. If you can veg your plants with as close of node spacing as possible (by getting the lights closer) your buds will be much denser, bigger, and easier to trim.

alright here we go.. the babies are looking pretty good but the bubba is kinda sketchin me out..,the leaves are more "clawed" then droopy but it jus doesent look right..moved the plants a little closer and im almost finished with light traps... heres a couple shitty cellphone pics
