OSA28 Silica?!?

Ya. Ive used it for maybe 6 months. It works great for me. Absolutely, without a doubt, puts plant available silicic acid in the root zone, doesnt fuck much with pH and best of all does not add unwanted potassium.

When you chop after doing a run with OSA the main trunk is so solid and dense it feels petrified. Budded stems dont droop much is an added advantage. Only time i experienced a downside was when i did not follow the application rates. I crisped up my leaves by overdosing.

I work with.6ml per gal once every ten days or so and it is very effective.

I tried out like 5 silicon products. I think this works best in my garden.

Theres a Bunch of things Allowed that are NOT "organic" that are Allowed for "organics". Things that are Only produced through chemical processes, and that would Kill in multiple ways those who used it or processed it.

It's not "technically" organic but it's still Good for microbial life. So I like to say Yes it is.
It's just not organic, why would you say yes it is, its a bottled chemical made in a lab. I'm sure it works good, most lab made nutrients do, but this is the organic section, not the hydroponic section. If a moderator could please move this to the hydroponic section thank you.

Hahaha you are the biggest whining baby. Moderator don't move this because it Is organic and just because this kid can't comprehend that there are "chemicals" which are allowed in "organics", don't punish others trying to produce top notch organics. I provided a link and everything, yet I'm sure you didn't open it and definitely didn't read it. Lazy.

@Yodaweed how many Boxed or Bottled nutrients do YOU buy!? I bet you don't Make your own Mycos and you don't source your own Mineral Rocks or your own Kelp. Yep you are using products that others HAVE produced and sometimes Synthesized like Mycos.

Until all of you "organic gurus" ACTUALLY MAKE everything yourself like how I Made my entire soil myself the first time, instead of BUYING peat moss and other shit, so until then Then all of you should Learn a thing or two and Open your mind and expand.

You know it's Not allowed in "organics" to use Freah manure on crops. Yet that manure "is organic". You can use "certain" ammonium but not all types of ammonium in "organics". It's all half bull shit brother. You tell me "the truth" when I Provided THE TRUTH with the OMRI link which you never clicked on I'm sure. Open your own eyes to the Truth.

There's a difference between something that comes out of the business end of an animal and something synthesized in a lab by chemists.

This stuff isn't organic, shouldn't you be posting this in another section?
Neither is water or rock dust, i bet you still use them???? Just because something isn't organic doesn't mean it can't be used in organic gardening..........oh, wait a minute, that means you're not totally organic...................WGAF? Lol

Rock dusts are minerals therefore not organic nor inorganic. That bottled stuff is inorganic. Rock dusts are naturally occuring and mined and broken down. Nothing added or processed. Like that bottled silica. You also have to look where and how it's derived.

The rock dust I use comes out of a volcano, it's definitely inorganic, I don't use the product that the OP is 'trying' to discuss, but I do use potassium silicate sparingly in a foliar during veg. I just think the 'Organic Police' pleading to a moderator to get a thread moved is a little sad and immature, it's a place for discussion, I didn't realise there was a rule stating all products discussed must be organic. It comes up over and over again and it's fookin boring........that's not organic, this is, you're not growing organically,OMRI this, OMRI that........blah,blah,blah

Every individual has the right to grow however they want and if they feel they are growing organically, they've got the right to ask opinions in an organic forum

Bro this is the organic forum, if you want to post about synthetic bottled nutrients every single other topic besides this one is where you go, they even have a hydroponic section specifically designed for this type post. This is in the wrong section, if a mod could please move this topic to the hydroponic section, thank you. And just a FYI volcanic rock dust (aka azomite) is ok for organic production and actually listed under OMRI and CDFA listing , here's an example http://www.azomite.com/ .

So.......should the ROLS thread be moved to hydroponics? In the 1st post on that thread, silica is mentioned, even Pro-Tekt

As mentioned above, I use something similar to Pro-Tekt in my otherwise organic grow. I don't know the OP, but it sounds like he is trying to use this product as part of 'his' organic grow. Now if he started posting in a hydroponics thread asking how it would work in his soil, he'd get fucked right off, cos I assume he's growing in an otherwise organic based soil.

You are not the RIU Organic Police, get a grip

AND FYI my volcanic rock dust is not azomite, that is a totally different product mate, from Utah, I think. My volcanic rock dust comes from an ancient, dormant volcano in Scotland

So I might as well just start posting topics about my hydroponic system on this organic section then? Because you guys are asking questions about bottled hydroponic nutrients and don't even run organics. Go to another section if you want to discuss hydroponics and hydroponic nutrients , this section is for organic gardeners. Spraying chemicals on your organic plants makes your entire grow inorganic, why do so much work to just throw it all away because you don't want to be patient and do it the right way?

This is one of the main reasons these forums are a joke, you guys call yourself organic than spray lab made syntetized chemicals on your "organic plants" then come on these forums and give people bad advise, I just don't know how much I can take the stupidity on these forums...it just blows my mind how nieve some people are.
