Organic options outside of soil? Chemical dependency? Text?

I have been doing Coco drain to waste for a while indoors now. I want to take at least a couple shots at organic. Outdoors with veggies, shrubs, trees and such I have just top fed with my own compost and sometimes store bought. That and a small aquaponic herb garden (great white, fish poop and compost tea occasionally) are all of my organic experience. Both were pretty basic with little understanding of organics. Results are adequate.
I have a few concerns that have been holding me back from trying an indoor organic grow. If someone could offer some advice from experience it would be much appreciated.

multiple 600hps grow, two flower tents. One 8 1/2 ft tall. One 6 1/2 ft tall.

1. I am worried about bringing harmful insects into my room.
- Is pest control difficult indoors with soil and organically?
- Are there good soil less organic options?
- Is there a soil that will be less likely to carry in pests upon arrival to the room?

2. I have heard that plants become dependent on chemical feeding over time.
-If I have kept mothers in coco with non organic feedings and pest control will those cuttings do well grown organically?
-Am I better off just planting fem seeds, organic from birth as a one time grow with a little variety?

3. Can you recommend some good reading on the matter? ..as prep to this organic grow that I am hoping to do in the future.. Something that would give me just enough info to produce a decent crop. i see subcool rec'd often...

Thanks

Hey what's up man
So I was about to try to awnser all your questions but then when I got to your last question I think all your awnser can be solved with a great book called
Teaming With Microbes
this book will help you better understand organics and how it works. Once you get into organics, things will really make more sense.
Theres many many other books on this subject like Soul Of Soil that I recommend.

In my opinion, organics will always have bugs, but not to worry, some bugs are benificals and some are not, but once you learn how to control or combat them using organic methods, you will be successful.
