small status report. Autoflower seedlings weren't doing well under flourescent light. I've generally been able to raise seedlings for a few weeks indoors under flourescent light within 1-2". The AK47 autoflower seedlings were getting leggy (etiolation) and the MED were just OK. Sooo, with two true leaves present, I hardened them off beginning on Friday and put the seedlings in the ground on Sunday. Everybody is in a cold frame that I cover at night and leave open during day. Everybody is doing well. I have four AK 47 seedlings out of five seeds started and two GOM MED 1.0 seedlings out of three started.

In search of mycorrhiza for my bean seeds (nitrobacter), I went to a few garden supply places. One of the places I went to was a pot-hydro chain -- Samurai Grower supply. The clerk was clueless about bean seed mycos and thought I was looking for mycorrhizal mix that is very popular with pot growers. After talking with him a bit more, he turned me on to a sample packet of MF Myco-Fusion Green 150. I didn't buy anything from him otherwise, which is kind of cheap of me but I wasn't looking for anything else from them.

So, free is always nice and I figured I'd give props to his chain store. They have a good line of stuff and sometimes I go there when I can't find what I want anywhere else. I ended up purchasing my legume inoculant somewhere else and must say the price of the myco-fusion spores (~4 fluid ounce package for 18 bucks) was not expensive by comparison. All the autoflower seedlings were treated with MF Myco-Fusion when I put them in the ground. I'm figuring on treating rye and oat seed with the remaining sample when I sow seed for a winter cover crop. Anybody who can give advice on how to use the myco mix will be apreciated.

The maker of the mix is www.santiamorganics.com.
