if growing outside spray with bt, its a bacteria, (bacillus thuringiensis) you spray several times, the cabbage moths, catapillers lay eggs in bud sites, then the bud grows up around the eggs, the eggs hatch, the worms eat thier way out of the buds, pooping as they go, rotting your flowers, the bt is eaten by them it makes them not hungry, they shrivel up & die. that is a good thing

ya release like 300 ladybugs and you would have a very cool greenhouse and also makes sure mites dont come in along with a few other bugs

Has anyone had problems with powdery mold? I'm not sure if that's what this is, may it also me salt deposits?

This rain really made the humidity rise in my tent. Here's some pics of what I've got going on.

May 26 3.jpgMay 26 2.jpgMay 26 1.jpg

It seems to be just around the perimeter of my plants, where the fans weren't hitting before. Since I've noticed this I added three more 5 inch fans for a total of six now, I also turned up the ventilation and turned down the heat a bit. I draw air into my room from under the house and this wet weather is really having an affect.

Here's some more pics so you can get idea of what I have going on.

The pic with the cola you can see a little bit of these white deposits too. What the hell is it? Hopefully the adjustments I have made will have a positive affect.

Water with a PH of less than 5 puts a stop to most bio-activity. J. Howard Garrett—a well-known horticultural columnist and radio personality in the Dallas, Texas, area—recommends baking soda sprays at a concentration of 4 teaspoons per gallon of water for control of PM, blackspot, brown patch, and other fungal diseases. He also suggests that a light soil spray of baking soda solution can suppress fungus gnat problems, while cautioning that overuse should be avoided because of possible negative effects (sodium accumulation and alkaline pH) on the soil.

thanks afrawfraw. To go along with that, I was just reading an article on cannabisculture.com that also suggested baking soda as an effective home remedy. Mix 1 tblspn baking soda to 1 gal. water. they also suggest a few other remedies and explain the cause. Here's the link if anybody cares.

Hello to all!
Salem cardholder & self-grower here.
2nd year of growing (indoors) and getting better with each grow.
Attached is a pic of two of my harvested plant's kolas from my last grow.
91 days_Harvested_b - Copy.jpg

I'm about 35 days into flowering on 4 plants now: 2@ Matanuaska Thunderfuck, 1@ White Widow (avatar pic is the White Widow taken about 7 days ago), and 1@ Sour Diesel).

Peace!
:blsmoke:

Yes, those ones did pretty good.
There was almost no difference in how they looked at harvest time, but the Red Dragon's hairs turned a crimson red as they cured (red & green like Christmas colors), while the MTF didn't change colors much at all during curing (it's hairs only chaged color slighly).
Both plants were couch-lockers (that is how I prefer my smoke), and even my former supplier was blown away by their potentcy, so I guess I did something right.
The current crop is about twice as developed as my last batch, so am hoping for a substantial increase in yield this time. I underwatered the last group of plants, so they were a little dwarfed in size. This time I am on top of everything, and they are doing WAY better than past grows. :blsmoke:
I got about an ounce off of each of those (and picked & smoked about another 1/4-oz of early buds from each plant as they grew to sample them).
Growing in a growbox that is 48" x 48" and 60" tall, under 600w mH (Veg) and 600w HPS for flowering.
The cooler weather this Spring has been a boon for indoor growing for me this year.
During 12/12 I have the lights on at 10-pm and off at 10-am, so I don't have to fight the extra heat during the day, and "night" temperatures (which is actually daytime in reality) drops down to 60f in the growbox, and I've got excellent ventilation for the growbox & light (each is ventilated with separate fans) so that the inside temperatures get no hotter than 76f.
Would be nice to get some sunny days here in the Valley, but the cooler temperatures suit my growbox perfectly.
I have a portable room A/C unit I can vent into the box during the hotter parts of the Summer, too.

The first photo is my current grow (photo taken 7 days ago):
(*the front-left plant is the White Widow, the front-right plant is the Sour Diesel, and the two plants in the back are Matanuska Thunderfuck)
Had to bend & tie down the fron two plants once eache to give room for kolas, and the MTF plants were bent & tied twice each.
Also, my light & reflector box (vented with a 465-cfm fan) rests in an opening in the top of the growbox, so the bulb is about 70" from the growbox floor.
The taller plants are about 52" tall (not including the two bends that ate up about 10-inches of height), and the shorter ones are 48" tall (not including a bend in each that ate up 6-inches of height) .

The strain "MISTY" from AMS does REALLY well in Portland. I have Le fruit defendu as well, but it's a little more picky about nutes and PH...

ur an awesome dude to put out an invite like that. how have the crab been, are they full at all? my grandpas from coquile, but we don't make it down there much anymore. i'm not framiliar with the runs down there, are the silvers coming in? late/early steelies? or do you go outside and bottom/ tuna fish? everything up here is pretty much blown out. they let a bunch of water out of the damn so the navy ships could come in for fleet week, the water looks like chocolate milk
