ordering bongs/pipes online

ive never really thought about this cause i have a small pipe shop right up the road and i always go there for what smoking devices. Ive seen a few really badass bongs online that i want that the store here in town doesnt have. Ive never ordered one online. Is it straight to just order it and have it sent to your house? or do the cops watch that shit and take it like they do seeds?
