Funny. I wonder exactly how much thc a plant can produce. At some point the plant material per trichrome per square inch has to max out. Simply nowhere for new crystals to hang on. I'd think when said and done the most potential thc would be on a sativa dominate bud structure. Fluffy buds equals more room for crystals to grow? I personally doubt we will ever see 50%, even 40% seems highly unlikely.

that's pretty much what I thought I never listen to hype. thought it was a pipe dream.
It's not to say that it's not possible someday. I'm sure if people keep breeding and searching the thc levels are only going to go up. Iv'e been giving this a lot of thought and I'm sure there are going to be people looking to find high cannabanoids in all areas not just thc and or cbd. Also soon enough someone will figure out how to map them properly so eventually there will be software or some hardware piece that's cheap and will tell you perfectly the cannabanoid profile of your strains on the spot. No more sending samples, it's only a matter of time.

Please do not base your choice of strain on THC percentages. The high you experience is a direct result of the unique cocktail of cannabinoids in each strain.

There are at least 66 different cannabinoids present in the resin heads, only 3 of which we can measure . This unique recipe is incomplete if even one ingredient is missing, and this is in large part a result of the environment and inputs you (the grower) provide.
As far as BC seeds, I acquired ( from GC3), a Elephant Bud clone, where BC says its the strongest Bud in the WORLD! according to them 26% to 34% Thc, well i dont know bout that, but it IS a great strain. The taste, high, and yield are right up there with some of the best I've experienced.

We used to see a lot of Oracle years ago in the Oakland and Berkley dispensaries, it was all very good but nowhere near 44%thc, possibly low 20% at most. I'd still love to find some of that original Oracle, it was one of my favorite strains back then along with Blue Dot.
