hey, what temps are you folks using for best results on your vapes? Just got mine and fucking love it, but have only used the 385 setting recommended in instructions. Its a Vapair N02...is there any benefits for lower temps?:weed:

THC has a boiling point of 200°C (392°F). However before the THC boils, other parts of the oil evaporate and boil.

Here are some important temperatures: At 21°C (70°F) the most volatile terpenoids start to evaporate, lending a pungent odor to the air.

At 31°C (87°F) the less volatile terpenoids start to evaporate, lending the air even more pungent odors.

At 39°C (102°F ) vir tually all of the terpenoids undergo evaporation fairly rapidly.

At 50°C (122°F) THC-Acid decarboxylates as the water molecule held in the carbonate form evaporates. This activates the THC.

At 66°C (150°F) Cannabidiol (CBD) melts and starts to evaporate.

At 185°C (365°F) Cannibinol (CBN) boils.

At 200°C (392°F) THC boils. Clear vapor from a vaporizer.

man I dont get it.. at 225F my vaporizor straight up burns it bad, and if I inhale too hard it'll catch it light up a super huge cherry/a little fire and the smoke will be very harsh... it only goes up to 300.. I hope that the temp reading is in C and not F cuz that would mean I have an innacurate Vape.

well your cutting and pasting wrong info...all chems are categorized by special CAS numbers. delta 9 thc- CAS number 1972-08-3....Boiling point 157c...315f

I just got a vape about a week ago. I feel the info by Verde is good and although he was specifically speaking about the volcano, the temps should be about the same.

Sr. Verde said:
From my research I have concluded that different cannabinoids (with different effects) are released/vaporized at different temperatures.

365F-392F is the cannabinoid spectrum. [at least for the volcano bag system, poplars hypothesized that different methods of pumping air over the herb, changed the actual vaporization temperature.. ]

365F is basically THC

378F is like CBN

392F is CBD

(I'm either getting CBN or CBD confused I'm not sure)

There was more to it, but more specific to the volcano. Thanks to Sr.Verde and hope he doesn't mind me reusing his info

I use a vapor Bros and right about 12:30 on the dial bakes the brain and around 11:45 loosens the aching joints. Find a spot that helps with what you are achieving as no two people are alike. In spite of the Constitution and the Bible or is that equal? LOL
