gonna get a new light for one of my tents(2.5x4) and the decision is basically down to these 2 lights

don’t wanna go the diy route this time so im getting something prebuilt

I can get either light for $600 and im cool with the price, just wanna make the right choice between the 2

anybody have experience with ChilLED Growcraft lights or Optics Slim series?

does one outperform the other?

biggest difference I noticed are the strip designs(4 long strips on the Optic and 6 short strips on the X6) and the diodes(deep red & blue with a mix of 3000 & 3500 on the Optic and deep red(no blue) with a mix of 3000 & 5000 on the X6)

any feedback would be appreciated

here the 2 lights in question

It says the OpticLED is sold out, so if you're in a hurry i guess you'll have to get the ChilLED.

If you decide for the Optic, check out Dr.Autoflower on youtube and send him an e-mail or contact on Instagram, he can give you discounts for Optic.

Both are great choices and you can't go wrong with either.
But personally i would go with Optic if they gonna have it in stock soon. Seems like one of the best lights on the market, top quality components, and they offer 10 years warranty. You can adjust the spectrum with the dimmer, which is a great feature. And if you crank all the dimmers up, the spectrum is balanced for both veg and flower.

With Chilled you have to choose between two fixed spectrums, either for veg or flower. I don't see they have a balanced spectrum or am i missing something?

not in a hurry

Im not popping anymore seeds til late August so that doesn’t matter

Optic wont be in stock til June 1st and the ChiLED has a 4 week processing discount so I won’t receive either light until the beginning of June

I’ll look into the Dr Autoflower discount later today

thanks for thefeedback

I ended up going with the X6 mini
Nice! I guess the main differences in the desighns would be do you want to light up the two 2.5' walls for reflectivity and or light the two 4' walls for reflection. In a crosslit environment I'd go Long strips for sure but in a tent I guess whichever. How's your grows going? Do you like it? They make nice fixtures I hear.

I have an X2 veg and an X3 flower, both bought before the mini X6 came out. I haven't seen a better light cast or PPF numbers in a 2' x 4' fixture than the X6.

Growcraft light have either a veg or flower spectrum. If you went with the flower spectrum, you might want to use an aux light that provides some blue. The % of blue in the flower light is low enough to reduce the penalty that it blue light imposes on yield but that also means it's not high enough to keep plants short and to reduce internodal space if it's used in veg. One of the mods on another forum uses 2 Royal Blue LED pucks from Rapid LED in his 4' x 4' and swears by them.
