Opinions Wanted on BlackJack and Jock Horror!

Hello all here is my Black Jack and Jock Horror From nirvana shop I just wanted some opinions These pics are at 24 days Flowering now they are 5 weeks into flowering and have doubled in size! Not the Jock horror really I dont know where i messed up but it's like a mini plant with 4 big colas I also LST'd this plant. I will tell you what though CFL's are not as close as a HID light, but if you have enough of them with the right reflectivity you can get a very very very good yield with them. It's cheaper as well. these buds are dense too.

Ya CFL's work well....and nice plants man but i think you might have to go a little longer with the flower , at least a couple weeks longer.

Looking good! I think we started about the same time. I'm growing three Jock Horror Fems in Coco/Hydroton. E & F set up under 600w HPS w/ GH 3 part nutes. Here's a couple of pics from my fifth week of flowering:







They are starting to bulk up and get coated in sugar. I think I'll be cutting the first week of October.

How long to date have you been flowering?

metalgodusa, how many watts are you currently using for your plant? and how many lumens? also keep in mind that dude is doing a hydroponic grow, so they grow somewhat faster than soil grows.

roughly I am usng 400 wats probably some change with that, m usng 17 cfls all but one 26 watts i forget what the really really big one is=2, same with the lumens i got 35700 lumens in there calculated at 2100 lumens per bulb but its acctually a lttle more cause of my big bulb, which i am currently too lazey to go ook at t right now. I am also using a waterfarm for my BJ jock horro is in soil. i vegged my jock horror about 3 months before putting it into flowerng i only vegged the BJ a month before i put it into flowering. and the BJ is 90% bigger then the jock horror and probably get 90% more yield off the BJ. I only change the res out every two weeks and just topping it off with plan PH'd tap water which dont have any fancy meters i just have a PH kit. But our water here is PH'd to 7.3 so thats pretty good except it is very hard water. I dont use anything special for it though the plants love it. i dont think i will ever do soil agan and if i do its gonna be outside. Im gonna invest in another waterfarm. Some ppl say its not nesscary for a ar stone in a waterfarm but when i put one n mine the growth of the plant had started growng very very very quickly. So i reccomed putting one in it u decied to every use a waterfarm. Oh and the buds on my BJ are friggin HUGE so i dont think i will be useing a HID light cause i am happy wth the results so far. But i do have a 100watt MH Bulb that maybe i will use with my cfl's if some how i get a god send and come accross a ballast but for now its all cfl!!

I'm in my sixth week. I plan on cutting the weekend of October 5th. I'm on the road two weeks at a time, so I only get to see them every other week and my schedule may change.

Despite Genosyde's ability to divine my intentions, I had no plan of comparing CFL to HPS. I was just excited to see someone growing the same strain as me...... I didn't know it was in the CFL group until after I sent the message.

my apoligies then, i just cant stand growers with HID and rub it in CFL growers faces. i think growing PERIOD is the point, not how much you yeild. cuz honestly, are you hps grower's gonna gimme some of your crop? if so by all means ill pray to the hps, if not, you know, STFU. this is not pointed to you in any way but just in general you know?

I have 5 fem blackjacks going indoors in soil under 400 w MH/HPS.I am on day 28 from sprout. I'm gonna go 7 more days then go to flower.Hope to hear more from those of you growing blackjack.

I am growing 2 fem BJ and 2 Fem White widow. I am 24 days from sprout. I am in a bubble ponics. I got mixed up as to which was which so I currently dont know what is BJ and what is WW. Time will sort it out.

I dont know when to go to 12/12, so I think I'll just give it a month on the nose for simplicity's sake an d switch next weekend. Any advice is appreciated.

jc,I am right with you,1st time grow and im doing femmed blackjack day 31 from sprout.I was going to go 12/12 at day 30,but there just not big enough. I have 5 of them and the biggest is almost 8" while the smallest is about 6".I found out a good way to tell if your plant is ready to go to flower is if the nodes start alternating instead of across from each other.My biggest 2 are like that now,so I know im close,gonna wait for the other 3 to get that way too.How tall are yours now?Lets keep in touch with our blackjack grows on this thread throught the life of them,I think we could both use someone doing the same thing at the same stage.
