Opinions please

Hi all this was my first grow... It's been a journey taking it all in and had many problems along they way I'm now 7 weeks and 5 days into flower but have noticed leaves apear to have an orange tint to them as the triches are turning orange I started flushing last Friday when I noticed the triches changing colour....

But the problem is it doesn't apear to be a lot of bud now a friend who's growing the same stain is saying its normal that's how it seems less but the buds are heavier and stronger and others are saying my crop will be pointless I'm cutting Friday anyway but opinions please??

The stain is cheese from clones, was grown in 60/40 coco pebbles with canna nutes under 600w hps

Any opinions are appreciated as if I need to change anything before the new clones go in I have to learn what I did wrong thanks

Chop it, dry it, cure it, smoke it. Then evaluate. It is what it is at this point so what is there to say? Congrats on getting to a harvest on your first grow, better than many.

I dunno I know will be doing the chop Friday after work just wondered if anyone could see something I can't I'm at a loss wondering what it was so small or if it was supposed to be like it

What size tent is that? Flowers look just about done, you can probably give it another week if you like, and careful evaluating trichs under an hps

It's 1.5m x 1.5m x 2m ok that's sounds good thanks

It looks good Mike, your just covering a fair bit more space than a 600 is optimum for. That size tent a 1000w is better. 600s are good for 1.2x1.2 or slightly smaller. Your plants are large so its just more smaller buds spread out rather than concentrated in single colas.
Also because you are covering a larger area your light is higher than ideal thus light intensity is less.

Well after my dog eating my first crop and a malfunction on my second. And sorry my dog didn't eat it she just destroyed it because I left the cabinet doors open and fell asleep so here is the results of my third crop but first grow start to finish. I just cut 1 stock last night and manicured it. Took and hour didn't realize how tedious it is. It had 30 percent red hairs and just like 5 percent or 3 percent amber trichs. How does it look guys. Would love the feedback whether good or bad

You've got some picky friends. Why would this grow be pointless? Bud looks great.

Lold I woke up to a trail of vegetation

I followed a trail of vegetation lol

they look ok

probably a few things you could do to get them fatter next time

Like feed more maybe

use some pgr`s

or some seaweed extract

Maybe even change up your lights or use 10/14 or 8/16 instead of 12/12

It`s normal if you feed no nutes or sugar or potassium sulphate or mono potassium phosphate to get more yellow hairs and more yellow thrics

TBH I switch to mostly potassium sulphate or mono potassium phosphate or dectrose (sugar), molasses and so on, 2 to 5 weeks before finish

I don`t normally finish with mono potassium phosphate as potassium sulphate or sugar seems to give a better taste, do I give plain water for a week or 2 before I cut ? depends on the plant and how bothered I can be that day to put the sugar or PS in

The last week or 2 don`t make much difference feeding just water is easy and cheap and if your flooding the hell out of them it can make a cost difference does "flushing" improve taste ? that`s a long argument

but its cheaper to use sugar or PS or just straight water that`s for sure and if your using most in the last 1 to 3 weeks then you may as well save

Main reason I use sugar to the end (sometimes I`ll give just water for the last few days or 2 weeks depends) is because I find after a week or so of just water any bugs living in the root zone will get hungry and start spreading to your other plants

Older plants have more of a chance of having bugs and I don`t like to spray them much once they start to bud

So keep the bugs busy gets me better buds then using plain water most of the time


There`s loads of things

I find 70 to 80% coco with 20/30% perlite works best for me, but more perlite or pebbles can mean less time between waterings now if you can water everyday you will see better buds because of it a lot of the time

but my grow is far away and the guy that helps with it is fooking lazy

So I use 70/80 sometimes 90% coco and 40 to 80L sacks to get the watering down to 1 to 3 times per week on the bigger plants

Gives me less hassle

now if he was not such a lazy cunt I`d have less problems

I swear it takes a 15 to 20l pot for him to yield what I can in a 1 to 5l pot

Straight up when I had 100% my own grow near me that was the difference as I keep upping his pot size till his plants matched mine and it was crazy, I mean if I used a 40L pot he`d need to go over 200l to match my plant, kinda pisses me off but what can I do, not his fault he`s shit, lol

So good advice here from you guys due to time and work commitments had to harvest yesterday anyway just finished now here is what I got from her I'm quite happy with it managed to save all the popcorn shit hopefully it will dry out nicely

Oh and I have a shower room with toilet and sink so obviously bathroom will not be used now

Just picked this up from the PO today as it came when I was at work!



Could of got something a lot cheaper from B and Q but apparently they had a problem with bottles exploding. Guess they didn't store it right when the heat wave was on us a few weeks back.

I think your buds look beautiful my friend the only th ing I did notice is that your fan leaves are all very dark green all the way down to the bottom of the plant. This gives me a feeling you may have been a tad to heavy with the Nitrogen during flower. Which does equal smaller buds. Other than that I must say hats off to you and a successful first grow

As you know , you have done a Superb Grow.

I struggle to believe this is your first grow. Its very well done. id be proud of this grow.

I think your Strains letting you down a little and you can keep your light closer in veg, stretch and bloom, just keep a fan moving hot air off the bulb , your day temps are considerable higher than night, caused a bit of etiolated.. inter nodal distance.

Your grows near perfect and hard to fault, well done.

Hit the PK heavy and cut the nitrogen after 12/12 stretch.

Potassium especially great for buds.

As a generalization:

N = Nitrogen =Leaves and Stems and greater inter nodal stretch

P = Phosphorous Roots, root veges love P

K = Potassium (potash) = flower and fruit, compact bushy plants tight inter nodes.

The ratio of K to N dictates plant shape and form.

You can keep you light lower, and flower much sooner, half you plant height is unproductive.

I keep meaning to try that stuff

I normally get sea weed liquid from elixir garden supplies or I get a liquid feed they do that has n-p-k, cal/mag, trace mins and seaweed, then add some triacontanol to it

I mean seaweed extract liquid is expensive I like to buy 1 to 10L and its like £20 to £150, I aint always got that to spend so some triacontanol mixed with alcohol added to some rooter or liquid feed then I use that as my booster

Only problem I have with elixir`s liquid feeds is they have loads of ammonia in them it burns your nose and it really brings up the PH

My water butt is normally at ph 5 to 6.5, if I used 1 15ml spoon of the liquid feed its fine ph wise for coco, but 30ml and it starts getting a bit high

So I don`t use powder food when I`m using that stuff I`ll use an A and B coco bloom feed for hardwater, got 2 x 10L bottles of plant magic a+b coco cheap

Bit more hassle but cheaper

Shame cos ph 5 to 7 water with some 1-2-3 + cal/mag + TM powdered feed is great just gotta add some seaweed sometimes some potassium sulphate

Just can`t always afford the seaweed

Let me know how you get on with that shropshire seaweed never worked out why that stuff is yellow and kinda thin looking when most seaweed extract seems to be black or dark green ?
