I was hoping i would be able to get some opinions on these pics.

Bag Seed, ~4 wks old, reg potting soil, no nutes, 250w HPS (bout a foot or so above tallest, just raised a bit more today) 18/6 photoperiod, runs about 75-80 degrees, fan for air circulation (and stem conditioning if you will), located in closet, stong thick stalks on all.

*pretty much an experimental grow.

i like the way your containers fit together
Thanks, but personally i think they will be 3 gal grow bags next time. They were 5 gal buckets cut down. its what i had readily available. its obvious that some corners have been cut on the set up, but this is first trial. still working on setup plans for the "good stuff."

any recommendations as to what I should use to feed? I know there are posting with some recipes but i can't locate most of the "ingredients" in those said recipes. Alternatives? thanks ahead of time.

look online or goto your local hydroponic store for metanaturals, pure vida organics or dynagrow.. do not use nutes from home depot

Dyna-Gro Liquid grow 7-9-5 (for veg of course)
Dyna-Gro Liguid Bloom 3-12-6 (for flowering)

Both intended for soil or hydroponics

or

Fox Farm Grow Big 3-6-2
Fox Farm Tiger Bloom 2-8-4

more specifically for hydroponics. but I have also read alot of ppl using hydro nutes for soil/soil-less mixes.

I accidentally bought the Fox Farm Grow Big for hydro, and use it with my soil grow. It works great.

peters 20-20-20 for veg and 10-50-10 for flowering works for me, im gonna try some advanced nutes next time though or maybe i'll dive in head first and overcome my fear of hydroponics lol

BMO!!!! Blue Mountain Organics (ebay only) search Super plant tonic and u can get to their store. Their prices will make u think their shit, but my last grow was strictly BMO and if u look at my pics u'll see they are for real. 100% organic and freshbatches every month. Great customer service as well!! Do a search on RIO and see what i mean. U'll never pay $150 for ferts/nutes again. Simple bottles/simple labels straight out the Ozark mountains. Organic ferts equals denser better tasting buds! Good Luck. plus they list every ingredient per product. Its like the true organic version of foxfarm ferts/nutes, just way cheaper!

20-20-20? really? and your plants dont look fucked? wow... and about the hydroponic comment i'm right there with you... its so difficult to make that transition when you've got everything in soil already and you dont have extra room to use tubs/pvc(and my sockets/surge protectors aren't exactly in the right places)

fox farms makes good ferts. Ive had great success with them. I started with a 250w hps, and it will grow a pretty solid plant but when i switched to mh bulb it made a world of difference. Shorter fat plants with way more bud sites. Anyway regaurdless of with brand ferts you use stay with organics.

despite the earlier suggestions of Dyna-Grow and others I acquired some organics. I like the sound of BMO (blue mountain organics) but I prefer to pay cash for my "special" merch. I will try to keep updated pics coming. They will get their first nutes tomorrow. MH makes that much of a difference? I thought about getting the MH originally and to be honest i don't know why i didn't.

If you do go with FF and keep growing in soil. Start out EASY with them and work your way up. They are strong shit in soil, but work GREAT!

Just order nutes on the internet, ebay is good for that!
