there appear to be different manufacturers that make a 430 watt bulb, which is what you are talking about. Personally I use the Argomax, with good results, in addition you should consider a glass shield.

The best bulb out there is the solarmax1 it has a 400watt mh & a 600hps in the same bulb. You need a 1000 watt hps to run it. $200.00 I have 5 week old 2 ft bushy healthy plants (one week into flower) never seen anything like this. I have all the right, soil, nuts and co2 but credit most of the sucsess to this light.

Sylvania grolux bulbs are excellent, you won't go far wrong with one of those.

me personally..i think it would help! the extra blue light will keep the plant growing strong and compact. Its been said that the red light can stretch the plants but some peepl do like to use HPS for vegetative too. But think about it this way...if u use MH for vegetation and then HPS and MH or HPS with extra blue light for flowering there will be blue light for the plant contantly! tryin to figure out a better way to decribe my theory...anyone kinda understand wut im sayin or disagree?

Do you think the additional light in the higher CCT help during flowering?
If you mean, does the boosted blue spectrum light help during flowering, I would say it probably does - the more PAR light the better generally - plants use both blue and orange/red during flowering, but more orange/red as that is the PAR spectrum responsible for flower and bud growth.

The additional blue spectrum light is more beneficial in vegetative growth as the plant uses more of this in veg than the orange/red.
