Opinions on adjust a wing reflectors

I can't decide between a Daystar 6" ac or the medium adjust a wing. I will be running whichever on a lumatek 600w ballast. If I get the daystar I will need to buy an add'l cooling fan for it. The adjust a wing w/ the super spreader can be cooled by my existing setup. Any help or opinions would be appreciated w/ +rep.
:joint: I have seen advertising propaganda from both reflector companies but I know the real truth will come from all of you, thanks again.

like I asked the other guy, how can you cool the adjust a wing. It is the huge one with the glass coated metal. it is awesome and i want one bad but I want to connect it to my cooltubes. I have an 8 inch and a six inch.

can you explain the cooling?

does it look like it has screw holes in the top so I could connect it to an eight inch cooltube cuz there are screws on the top to connect the wings that come with it.

I made my own wing using a pebble reflector that rock. Just I am a gadget junky and with my limited tools I love the clean look of the adjust a wings.

have you thought of a cooltube and larger wings either adjsut a wing or homemade? Homemade are wuite easy. I just slit a pebble reflector that I got for free up the middle and drilled holes and attached to the old clips on the cooltube.

The company suggests using the medium reflector w/ the 600w bulb. That was my reason for that. Cooling? from what I understand the adjust a wing reflectors run fairly cool probably because there isn't an enclosure to trap the heat. Especially when using the super spreader hot spot diffuser. Hooking them up to cool tubes and cooling them in the same manner would be tricky to say the least. One adjust a wing and 600w bulb would be more than enough for my setup according to the light spread that can be achieved with said reflector.:joint:

Well I am finished upgrading my grow room electrical. I decided to run 220 for my 600W, and went with a Lumatek and the medium adjust a wing reflector. I also ran 2 other 20 amp 110v circuits one for my a/c, and the other for my 400W and 4 T-5's in the veg. room. It's on like Donkey Kong.:hump:

A report on that Adjust a wing reflector for everyone. It is fuckin awesome. Great light distribution, doubled my growing capabilty going from a super sun 400w reflector to this 600w. I now use the 400w for my veg area. I will be buying more of these type reflectors when it comes time to expand again.

Hey brother, Im liking the setup! C02 is always a +

Im about to purchase myself 2 600w lumas with the adjustawings..
Since I cant seem to find my electrician, u seem knowledgeable in the field. If I wanna run 240v I gotta run new lines to the box right?
Can u give me some step x step directions for this..

That is Pink Floyd Comfortably Numb,
but as to your question, I have a batwing reflector similar to the one you are looking at. Like others have mentioned there isn't any way to cool as far as adding an intake fan. However, mine stays cool enough with some fans for ventilation and an inline fan hooked up to a carbon filter/scrubber works wonders
