Opinion on this trim job please :)

Would anyone be willing to say whether these buds look properly trimmed? The 2 pics are actually the same bud from 2 sides.
I am wondering whether any of those little tiny leaves can stay for the smoke time.
So are those little leaves considered part of the bud and good for smoking? Is it ok to leave the leaves or are they all to be removed?
I have used them for edibles and the brownies come out great and strong.

Nothing wrong with a loose trim job. I leave mine that way.

Yeah I agree. They look okay. I'd probably trim the leaf tips a little more, but I get into trimming when the time comes and I'm a bit OCD, even though I know I'll be the only one seeing it....Go figure!

I start out like that, but quickly start skimping on the trimming and start dumping more small shit in the hash pile.
I truly hate trimming more than anything else

sugar leaves = natural wrapper to trap the scents and flavors of your terpenes.
i do the same. the sugar leaves are packed with trichs. why waste them to make something look "pretty"?
the pretty stuff is for dispensaries and the cover of high times. i'm not growing for either.

It’d be nice to have a thread on best trim jobs, kinda like the frostiest buds thread

How long do you dry?

Looks good to me. I only trim the stuff without trichs or brown leaf tips. Trimming is an art, but if it grinds, rolls, and smokes good, I really don't care all that much

Really, a lot of personal preference involved. I like a tight trim, but I don’t waste anything, trimmings go into the bubble hash bag. If the sugar leaves are green and frosty, all is good!

11-14 days at 60% RH....Then trim and several weeks in the jars or Grove bags

Very true I struggle to keep my temps under 70 but last harvest I never went over 68 and maintained a steady 60% I was very impressed at the difference just a tad too dry or too warm make.

The aroma when chopped stayed,
It didn’t change even after the cure.

That's what we call a "grower's trim"

Looks good, coulda be a lil tighter for bag appeal but for personal stash, that's perfectly fine.

The newer Gen Z commercial buds look like goat turds. Your trim looks great and natural.

Perfect growers trim. That extra sugar leaf acts like bumpers for your buds during storage. If you don't like to smoke the sugar leaves, just trim them up right before smoking and save that trim for edibles, bho, water hash, ect.
