If you think you can grow cannabis in your home without the person living with you knowing about it, you're fooling yourself... unless your grow box is in your private quarters (where your room mate is not allowed). If thats the case, then all you need to worry about is the smell.

yeah dude, it can be a tough thing to do right if you have to constantly look over your shoulder at the front door.

maybe one of those "grow in a pc" deals would be best, i just can't imagine that it would produce anything significant though

Hmm. Vegging shouldn't be the problem, just the flowering. If your real creative, build a dresser, really deep. Then make a panel on the back that comes off, so you just have to move it out, and take the panel off and there you go. It would work perfectly for that. I was thinking about trying a stealth grow in the back of my subwoofer box because its about 2 and a half feet tall. Hahah. It has plenty of room in it. Just do some LST, SCROG, or SOG. I wonder if its possible to do all 3. bongsmilie

You might to THE ONE.:bigjoint: Yup dresser is what i have in mind. I have a small 3 drawer dresserk, and this is what im thinking.

Ill leave the top drawer functional. Cut out the bottom two. And screw them shut. Ill add the outside ring of a cabnet key lock that ill pick up from a hadware store or just brake one of my old file cabnet or something. If you saw my dresser, youd say prime, cause its reall fancy like and the top drawer is biger and more decerated so it almost looks like a file cabnet on the bottom. Ill have some pics soon to describe my situation.
Alright i have 8 of these mofos. I can get 3 of em virtually silent with a 9v adapter, but the adapter gets hot as shit, so i think i have to get like a 4v adapter with a higher amp ratting.

Ill post a pic of my idea for light trapping. I have a small fish tank to throw ontop of it which will kill any sound resinating, withough a doubt.

For the ventilation pahts i think ill use carpet to muffle the comp. fans vibs and slight sound.

And i had that pannel idea in mind, very good shit right there. just screw that shit on, move it in, unscrew, ready set go.

Take a pic of the dresser if you can, or all possible ideas. I saw this GREAT grow setup. Small, yet efficient on another post. I'll try and find it so you can see his grow set-up.

Sorry, can't find the link, but if I find it, I'll send it to you.

No. That's neat though. It's a red cabinet. About a foot and a half wide maybe. I'm going to find it though. Hahah.

I'm sure that's not the only product out there that would fit your needs. It's just the one I came across and again... it looked cool.

Argh. I looked for about an hour and a half and couldn't find the post I was talking about. I thought I had posted in it, but obviously not. Bummer too, because it was a great grow cabinet. RIU should have a contest of Micro grows, and compare who gets the most bud, in only a certain amount of time.

Yay! I finally found what I was looking for, right after I give up looking.

Very detailed, very nice grow, check it out.

Ha, yeah ive been having problems with this shitty search engine, like i dont care if i type weed in it, nothing will pop up.

I ran in to that before, thought it was neat, but i doubt very quiet. i need side space to make vent light traps and sound proofing. Which a dresser is going to give me. I love the little hydro setup hes using though. i might have to rip that off em. let me throw out an idea of what im thinking of later tonight with pics.

Outside of coming across them online, I've never seen, heard of or used them... But, again, they look very cool.

It's cabinet that looks to be made out of an industrial filing/storage cabinet. They are pretty expensive but, they do come with what looks to be everything one might need short of a CO2 bottle and seeds.

Yeah they do indeed look very nice. but how much do they want with that? like 1.5-2 thousand? 3 thousand? ill probably end up paying, including light, wood for construction, and everything else, 100 bucks tops.:fire:

But yeah those setups are very interesting. Good for ideas.

Ya. Good luck with your setup. Post pics later so we can see what your thinking about.

instead of having the back panel come off, you could buy some of those hidden hinges, and make a side panel a legit door. (stealth of course) then you just have to hide the opening and locking mechanism on the bottom or something, if it's on legs. It will look like a normal dresser, but if unlocked the side swings open, giving you access to your grow. I've seen people use flat black painted pvc elbows for light proofing, and just vent all your shit out the back or bottom. post pics!

ya pics tonight. Give me an hour or two. Im at the library as of now.

Asb - YEah, for the backing ill have to do that. im talking a panel to screw over the vent holes when im moving it in. itll definatly have hinges on the back. Probably on the bottom like you said.

I made this vent trap idea on another UN, ill have to find it and show you what im thinking for the side venting idea. give me a sec here..

150w hpsMicro Stealth Machine -PICS- My god, what have i created!?!?!?!?!??
permalink
This box is 20"l 17"w by 23" high. The grow chamer is 13" w by about 17 inches high. As you can see customed this box out so no light can escape. Its going to be good, i can feel it.

I have a big question. My Thermaltake computer fans, though very quiet, are making this anoying humming sound that blower fans also but out when you try to dim them. Know what im saying?

I dont know if its the way i mounted them or what. I uesd plumber tape and wheather striping, making sure that any thing touching the fan and mount have at least two layers of the strip. The strip is about quarter inch thick, but is very squishy which might be the problem, i can squish it down to like a 1/6 of a inch.

Anyways any help would be aesome and help me get my journal up quicker. This is pissing me off right now, i put all this work into silencing it and these fans are humming like mini blowers. im almost sure theyd be noticible even when the box is complete, like i think they will tell me, and anyone else around what its name is. a Grow box. If you catch my drift.

(sorry for the blurry pics, im like a crack head holding that camera, cant keep stil)

Expertise will be worshiped.

Edit: oh, and dont stress on the heat isue, i have 4 more thermaltakes:mrgreen:

One more will be placed in the row of two, the intakes, and three more will be placed by my hand (3rd pic) exausting
