No pot is an annual plant. It makes seed in one season and then dies.

ive heard alot of storys and read alot on line about plants being left for years yeilding every year.

and also what about the people that reveg plants i know that indoors but you cant say its impossible outdoors.

and if it never makes seeds then what?

who says it has to die

In more temperate climates without frost a plant might grow for years. In most climates Cannabis is an annual plant however and it dies in the winter.

If it never makes seed it will still die over the winter.

I guess you could take your plant inside in the winter, re-veg it and put it out the following spring. It would be much easier to just take cuttings or start from seed though.

i would bet money that where i live if someone would leave 10 big healthy plants and just pick the buds off and leave the leaves that at least 2-3 would make it to the next grow season

last year i left a shitty plant and it didnt die until like January and not because of the cold it just died a slow death because the plant was a piece of shit fucked up plant in a bad spot with not alot of light to begin with , but yeah seriously i would bet on it

Wouldn't it be better to just have all of us stoners pool together several 100k seeds and go crop-dusting your whole state?

I think the most powerful, and greatest thing would be for breeders of rather Bioengineers to be successful in introducing perennial quality into the plant line. Grass is already very resilient, it will withstand harsh and cold condition for a long time and jump back, but the root dies when the when the last shoot dies, and the stalk dies. But regardless, I certainly think every season should be johnny appleseed season. I've always thought total saturation migh finnally bring respect to the plant.

Hahaha its funny i stumbled on this thread. For the past 3 4/20's I've drove through my home town just tossing seeds near the side of the road and in people's front lawns and wooded areas. I never check to see if any grow but if all goes well I can have something good going.
