Ooops! Rewetting Bud While Curing?

So last night before I went to bed I thought I put the cap back on my jars that were curing. Turns out I was imagining things and they've been open for about 14 hours. I closed them, but they are still very dry and have only been through about a week of curing. I'm worried this is going to very negatively effect my yeild.

My question for you all is how I may go about dampening the buds? I was thinking maybe a piece of bread or some parsley? I'd rather not use something that will effect taste or smell though.

Fresh Fan leaf(ves) and/or pieces of still hydrated stalk/stem in the jar works well. Might take a couple of days.

I think bread absorbs moisture.

bread WILL make the bud moist but will prolly bring on a mold problem i would use paper towel or maybe a q tip size peice of cotton lightly moistened. hope that helped.:weed:

Thanks! How long would you leave it in there? I would assume until it regains its moisture but I've gone horribly wrong on assumptions.

I just added some wadded up moist toilet tissue pieces ( lol was out of paper towels ) to my jars.. Ill check em every day and see if it helps.

lmao i realized I was out of paper towel also.. I ended up cutting a couple pieces out of an old t-shirt and wetting them down and taping them to the lid of my jar. Should achieve the same thing..

I thought of using TP also but thought twice after realizing it breaks down when wet.
