Only the Good Die Young

alright this was my first grow, i had the stealth hydro bubbleponics 6-site DWC set up with CFL's. not the most ideal set-up, but it worked alright for me for my first time. next time around i'm going to go a bit bigger and maybe switch to soil or a RDWC system.

oh and i'm a Michigan medical patient and i could have done 12 plants but that's for the next round

so anyways, they were in bloom with about 1-2 weeks left before optimal trich hues. But we got this notice from apt complex informing us they'd be letting themselves into our place to inspect it. freaking the hell out we went over every possible scenario for what we could do: move'em, chop'em or hide'em. since all 6 plants were in one bucket and they were being supported by strings, moving them would have been hell and probably would have stressed out the ones that didn't get snapped. Hiding wasn't really an option either due to the layout of our place, so after talking to some friends with experience, we decided to harvest early since it would be the safest bet.

So, no flush, and the trichs were maybe 30-45% milky. we cut'm and moved them to a more secure location and here's to hoping they turn out ok.

You should be okay, a little early will still give you kickass smoke. The reason you can't grow despite being a medi patient is, ordinance against growing in apartment?

because lease prohibits illegal drug activity AS DEFINED by federal law. we considered risking getting "caught" since we're legal, but didn't want to give them any reason to give us the boot, especially since the ladies were pretty darn close to being mature

How often does your apartment management conduct "dropby" inspections? Do they do this to all tenants, you don't think that they suspected anything do you? If you are going to go a bit bigger next time, are you planning on moving? You didn't tell anyone about your grow did you? At least you were able to salvage something from your efforts. Let us know how it smokes once dried and cured. Sorry about the "20" questions:leaf::leaf::leaf:

MsBBB, i don't know how often, but all the doors in the building had the same "notice of entry" on them. There should be no reason they suspect me. yes, we're getting the fuck out of apartment buildings, they're fucked up for so many reasons and this is just the latest one.

smoke report: i let them dry out probably a bit too much, the stems easily snapped. since it was such a small op, the plants were maybe 3.5 feet, so there were a few decent buds but about 1/2 the total harvest consisted of little buds about the size of your pinkey-tip. I lit one up before cure at it was a little harsh and not very flavorful. Keep in mind, i am not a connoisseur and don't actually smoke much or often. which is why i gave growing a shot, because i wanted to sell the medicine and not worry about using it all for myself. However, after about 10 minutes it started to really hit me and gradually escalated for about 1.5 hrs. very visceral, feeling light, but intense. This was with one of those shitty corncob pipes because i smoke so infrequently that i don't have any peices

Apartment complexes do "random" inspections all the time. They just want to make sure that you are following the fire safety guidelines...like not blocking windows and fire escapes...shit like that.

Apartments are going to be hard to grow in because of smell and those random inspections, but it also has its advantages. If you grow right after the inspection you should be good for a few months, thats for sure. Your plants look fine man, but a little leafy if that makes sense? You should have offered the inspection team some buds to not inspect you...lol

Hope it turns out well for you man...wish you the best of luck!

We had to yank everything early last Summer, we were doing an outside grow and it just got too fucking moist, the mold and bud rot were having too much fun. They could have gone another few weeks. A good cure ought to take care of your harshness problem. I wouldn't fret too much. It won't be killer shit but it'll get the job done. Good luck dude.
